Greetings adventurer, welcome to the world of Abulon, here you will face the great challenges and perils from the Damworf Mountains in the north, to the Scrongton Lake in the south. But first you must answer a simple question. Who are you?
I am Varufion, The Great Warlock of the East(According to Myself)
>>1600544
Welcome Varufion, your adventure begins the town of Shamlow, east of Craigeburne castle and south of the Pelbourne Forest. The great Lord Feldwick is Lord of the town and the castle. What is the first step you take as an adventurer?
I talk to the members of the town about there feeling towards Lord Feldwick
>>1600585
You look around and see three members of the town. Who do you talk to?
>Susan - a waitress at the local inn
>Domrick - a guard
>Tad - village lad
Old mate Dom
>>1600596
You approach Domrick.
"Good afternoon, young man." Domrick says with his commanding voice.
You inquire his opinion towards the Lord Feldwick.
"Just between you and me lad". Domrick begins, leaning down towards you and lowering his voice. "It looks as if Feldwick is losing support due to his weak stance on the goblins situated within Pelbourne. I can't say I'm too impressed with the little action he has taken, but he foots my paycheck, so there is little I can do."
Would I be able to acquire a handsome some for disposing of these goblins?
>>1600630
"That's an idea." Domrick answers. "However, I couldn't officially condone that behavior. In saying that, I'm sure some people would be incredibly thankful." He finishing, giving you a wink and a sly smile.
Domrick must leave you, some merchants passing through asking for directions. What do you do now?
I travel into the Pelbourne forest with my trusty staff to eliminate the gob squad
>>1600651
You set off on your first adventure to the forest of Pelbourne with the forest floor soon replacing the cobblestone roads of the town.
You hear the gruff chatter of gobbos and the clunk of axe against tree nearby, how do you approach?
I bloody go in and light those motherfuckers up with a Fireball.
>>1600678
You jump from the clearing and channel your mystic power into your staff. The gobbos are caught unawares!
Roll a D100 to see if you succeed!
Rolled 69 (1d100)
>>1600691
The blue glow from your staff ignites into a flame red, sending a ball of flame directly into the middle goblin. The fireball sparks, then engulfs the shocked goblins.
The enemies are defeated, however any possible loot was also reduced to ash.
>Gain 15 exp
What do you do next?
Rock up to the location of Lord Feldwick and demand my dues
>>1600704
As you're leaving, you notice something the corner of your eye. Do you continue to see Lord Feldwick?
Righto m8 ill give the cave a squiz
>>1600705
Bust into that cave, we dungeon crawling now.
>>1600709
>>1600710
You instead decide to investigate the cave of the Goblins of Pelbourne Forest.
The cave is dark and the sounds of footsteps and gruff murmuring can be heard echoing throughout the dwelling. You can just make out two paths, one on a slight incline and one on a slight decline, what do you do?
incline
>>1600722
You head towards the incline. In the darkness however, you do not see the tripwire below you.
Roll a d100 to see if you trip the tripwire traveler!
Rolled 57 (1d100)
>>1600735
Your foot is caught on the tripwire, causing you to faceplant into the rough cave floor
>HP 9/10
It doesn't appear to have alerted anyone of to your presence, it seems that sort of mechanism was not available to the goblins.
1/2
>>1600743
Your path leads you to a small ledge in which you can look down upon the goblin hideout. 5 gobbos mull around, not doing anything of great note. A small fire burns.
What do you do?
I use a magical water spell ontop of the fire to plunge the cave into darkness
>>1600767
With another glow of a light an orb of water materializes above the fire, stunning the goblins. The orb of water then loses form, splashing down on the flame.
The goblins begin to panic. You can't see shit. What do you do?
Oh geez. I take my hat off, light it on fire and throw it down the ledge. I hop down after it.
>>1600793
You remove your hat, set it alight, throw it down off the ledge and quickly follow it.
One of the goblins has fallen on its face in the confusion, another has slammed into a wall. The other three however have drawn their knives and look your way, getting ready for a confrontation.
What do you do Varufion?
Under my breath I whisper
"forgive me master, I'm gonna have to go all out just this once"
I throw down my staff and charge the closest goblin with fists raised
Rolled 59 (1d100)
>>1600838
You toss your staff away, and unleash the secret technique your master taught you but told you to never use it for some reason.
The closest goblin seizes up as he receives a powerful blow to the face, instantly killing him. Your powerful fist warlock power too much for the frail gobbo body.
Before you can react however, a goblin teleports behind you.
"Nuthin personal kid" He quips as he raises his dagger and goes to slice your back.
Roll a d100 to evade his attack!
Rolled 33 (1d100)
>>1600886
The edgy manlet's dagger pierces your clothes and skin, blood seeps from your newly created wound
>HP 7/10
You crane your head to stare at the assassin. What action do you take hero?
"Not bad kid, but you're already dead"
I karate chop the goblin in the neck
>>1600916
Suplex that bastard.
>>1600931
Using the ancient warlock technique of karate chops, you strike the goblin.
Roll a d100 to see if he feels it.
Rolled 19 (1d100)
Rolled 71 (1d100)
>>1600958
Your karate chop doesn't seem to affect the vertically challenged enemy.
"Tshh... was I meant to feel that. Train for 100 more years are maybe you'll be ready." He snidely comments as he leaps, trying to swipe his dagger at your head.
Roll a d100 to see if his attack lands!
Rolled 25 (1d100)
Rolled 79 (1d100)
>>1600980
Another clean cut from the goblin dagger master as he zooms past your side.
>HP 5/10
"heh, too slow"
You explode with a rage you have never felt before.
Roll a d100 to counter attack the goblin, and you receive a +15 to your roll due to rage.
Or you can do something else.
Rolled 33 (1d100)
I spit blood on the mossy ground at the goblins feet. I regain my footing one knee at a time. I look the goblin in the eyes and smirk.
"You picked the wrong dude to piss off"
Empowered by anger I swing a violent right hook at the goblins temple.
>>1601015
You feel it, the power. The power your old master warned you about. The power that must be locked inside. The rage, the burning fury. You feel it pulse through your veins as you stand. Despite all your masters warnings, you have to admit, it feels great!
You charge the pathetic creature whom you are battling...
1/2
>>1601046
...And fall on your face like a fucking dumbass.
"Hey you alright there buddy. We can call it off if you like?" The goblin asks, beginning to feel kinda bad he's been stabbing you.
What do you do Warlock from the East?
Rolled 41 (1d100)
I bite the goblins ankle
>>1601055
bitch how have I thrown six rolls less than 50 in a row
>>1601055
Your underhanded strike connects with the goblins ankle. He screams in agony, before falling to his knee.
The cry subsides and he begins to chuckle.
"Heh... I always knew this day would come. Thanks for the fight kiddo... I finally got to use 10% of... my power..."
The goblin dies.
>5 exp gained
What do you do now hero?
"goodnight sweet prince", I say under stifled sobs. I place my hand on the goblins face, say a prayer, and close his eyes for the final time.
then I check out the chest for the wicked loot
>>1601081
You send the goblins spirit off, making sure his body rests well. He put up a good fight, but not good enough.
Anyway, time for loot. You get:
>A pouch with 25g in it
>A ruby necklace
>A sus looking note
As you go through your new found belongings, you can't help but feel like you've forgotten about something.
And I'm going to call it there. Thanks for playing, will probably post in this thread again later.
>>1601118
Thanks for running, my dude.
You are Varufion, Warlock (who is competent with his fists, well, that's up for debate really). You have just finished raiding a goblin cave in the hopes of receiving a reward for your troubles. There seems to be less goblins then when you first entered however.
What do you do next?
Varufion has perfect memory no goblins have dissapeared I leave the cave.
>>1603943
You leave the cave. Once outside you hear the distant cries of townsfolk, the clashing of steel against steel and burning to the south, and the sounds of woodland critters to the north.
What do you do?
North
>>1604174
Yeah I'm sure south wasn't anything. You instead head north.
You stubble across a small squirrel who appears to be in great distress. What do you do?
>>1604354
>stubble
We shave it of course.
>>1604479
>fug
It has now been completely shaven by your mystic warlock powers. It continues to look distressed, and now a little cold.
What do you do adventurer?
>>1604589
Whatever is the matter, young squirrel?
>>1604589
eat
