Demi-fiend Quest #2

Now in a position to calmly observe your surroundings, you take notice of how big this part of the museum is.
Shifting from the previous theme in an almost abrupt manner, it feels like someone glued two different museums together.
The room is a huge circle, various paintings place in equidistant spots on the wall as if telling a story.

Fresco, oil on canvas, pastel, and an abundance of different others ways of producing an image.
A collection of different styles from different eras and locales in the world.
All of them detailing the creation of both man and world in every possible representation and religion possible.

There are also carvings in the walls and columns, Angels, Devils, Asuras, Devas and many other gilded representations of some the most recognizable entities in these beliefs.
In the ceiling, there is something you would consider to be a reproduction of the Sistine Chapel ceiling, in a round form, all of the paintings flow graciously towards the center.

The ground is made of a polished gray marble, beautiful striations in the stone only interrupted by the holes made in your little struggle.
There seems to be another door than the one you came from, it seems opulently crafted.
It seems the way forward is obvious.

Pushing the door open you manage to catch a glimpse of the pure white room.
It seems there is no there's no other decoration in this one, however, there is an object here.

It's a brass candle holder, with only one spot, already occupied by a common candle. The candle holder itself is engraved in a variety of sinuous patterns, rich in details.
This piece is detailed to pointlessness, you can lose yourself staring at its numerous waves and outlines.

You examine the candle holder, its usage seems obvious.

Looking towards the giant, you think about food, again.
You look around the previous rooms for anything to chew on.
Nothing.
For some reason, the thought of fairies cannot leave your mind.
It's stuck like a catchy song, you wonder if they exist.

Going back towards the candle holder you prepare to do the first obvious thing.
You find a lighter inside your bag, waterproof of course, and look towards the candle.
You ignite the wick, the light from the flames spreads around the room.

It seems the many details of this piece serve a purpose, there's a shadow formed by the many textured extrusions, a circle not unlike the ones you've seen in the hospital's sacrificial room.
The circle slowly releases light, turning into a warm amber color shifting into a brighter shade.
You stare at it, entranced by its workings, vision hazy.
Your vision turns dark.

Light returns to your eyes, it seems this is a different place. The decor is more to your liking, there is a huge stream of magatsushi being conducted in these walls.
Is this what Hansel and Gretel felt like upon finding the witch's residence?.
You just hope the witch here does not share the same interest as the one in the tale.

Red dominates the entirety of this scene, and there are eye-like structures in the walls.
In the center of this confined space lies a tree-like structure of some kind, holes in the center are its discerning feature.
It seems as if something can be seen in the holes, faintly.

You are pulled towards another perspective, there are many other holes dotting the walls of red.
These holes look to be the same as the one you peeked through.

There seems to be a red theatre curtain, how classy.
Below you lies a big pool of red liquid, you cannot discern what it is.

The curtain slowly rises with a creaking sound, every second feels like an eternity.
Familiarity with faces you've already seen drag your attention fully.
It is the lady in black and the old man.

These two, pulling your attention, the man with his observant eyes and the lady with the impeccable posture.
"Good, you have passed your first challenge." She says, nodding in a curt manner "And it seems you can already withstand my Master's resting state."

Indeed, it seems as if the simple act of breathing does not cause you to lose your bearings anymore, baby steps you guess.
"The Mada you've fought was the product of that world pulling its forces together." It seems the giant had a name.
"In a healthy Vortex world, more demons can both survive and be birthed into existence."

"In that world's case, only powerful demons are capable of thriving in those harsh environments."

You nod, it seems she is detailing parts of your assignment, the workings of some structures of the Vortex world, names of demons, and possible outliers.

Your job hasn't changed, eat, grow, rinse and repeat.
It seems you have to collect enough magatsushi for it to happen, problem is, how much is enough?.
At the end of her long explanation, you ask if there any methods of tracking magatsushi, there is a slight pause.

"...Under normal circumstances, you should be able to sense the biggest reservoirs of magatsushi in your vortex world."
"It seems as if you haven't learned the skill for sensing magatsushi yet, for a being of your properties this would prove to be a fatal mistake."

The old man pierces you with his stare, your horns burn for a few moments, you're left with a ringing in your skull.
"My Master has kindly bestowed upon you the ability for sensing magatsushi, I hope you do not leave this kindness to waste."
You promptly offer your gratitude.

"Go forth Demi-Fiend, you will not be a disappointment, I trust in you."
You are pulled back towards darkness, your vision fading again, curtains closing.

You are at the pyramid's entrance, with an extinguished candle holder in your hands, you store it in your bag.

Also, it's possible to irreversibly anger a demon, fighting and killing it would be the only answer.
There are fewer demons in this Vortex World, so maybe try chatting first?

Walking through the sands is a peculiar experience, especially now since there's no day and night cycle.

How we will find Deathstones
Labyrinth of Amala exists in our story?

The Labyrinth exists, however, you are not allowed to use it.
The Labyrinth is mostly a tool to strengthen the nocturne's Demi-fiend. You're expected to grow strong while fighting alone due to your proprieties.
That and taking you to the labyrinth would be notifying the authorities keeping watch on that Vortex world.
The candle holder only granted an audience to your consciousness.
Sneaky Lucy is sneaky.

Also, fiends can't be summoned, there are no temples here.
