You see an obscured figure huddled by himself in the not-so-dark cave. It's probably the ragman. He seems to be convulsing - perhaps terrified of the lack of facial hair on your alabaster maxilla or maybe he's asphyxiating - good thing you don't have to breathe!

How do you respond?

Come closer to him and order him (with bone rattling and hand signs) to stand up.

It can definitely see you. Its right eye (your right) is particularly bulgy-looking. Whatever. You cautiously approach it, waving your right (his left) hand limitedly, gesturing him to get up. He stirs, not shaking anymore. He gets on his knees and spits a black liquid at you. Blood?

He's surprisingly heavy. Still spitting out a lot of black stuff. Some of it seems to have gotten onto your hands.

Drag him until he bleeds out. And then loot him.

You reach the surface. The ragman's body seems to have dried up, perhaps due to the lack of hydrostatic pressure or something. He's still very heavy though - fortunately you don't have to drag him very far before he starts coughing in a pre-mortem kind of way. All the while, he's singing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfAuFAgHpzc in the most beautiful, fragile voice. He is dead.

You just realized that your inventory's been filched while you were underwater (except for your rusty shiv, which you brought with you). Feeling ragman's corpse, you pick up a binky and some hard object covered in black gunk.
