It feels like you’ve been wandering through these caves for months. The hours have blended together as you, Nazz, and Lu search for your friends Jorraan and Ara to leave the caves and make your way to the shrine where parts to build your lightsaber are located.

“Lu, does this part of the cave look like we’ve passed it before?” Nazz says, staring at the walls, lit mostly by the glow of your 3 crystals.

The Miraluka sighs, unamused, “Still blind, Nazz.”

“Right,” she mutters, “Sorry.”

“Wait,” Lu halts, “You hear that?”

The three of you freeze and listen intently. In the distance, you hear yelling, a boyish voice that could only belong to the comically large Jorraan.

You’re quick to realize the sound is coming from a passage on your left.

“This way!” you command, the others following you as you run down the passage.

The voice gets louder and louder until finally, Jorraan appears, colliding with you and knocking you to the floor.

Jorraan’s massive form stands over you as he peeps, “Oh, sorry Pax.”

What do you do?

Before Jorraan has the chance to help you, you get up and dust yourself off, taking a deep breath to get the wind knocked out of you back in.

“Where’s Ara?” you ask first, wondering where the redheaded girl has gotten off to alone.

“She was climbing a thing and told me to go find you guys,” Jorraan states.

Lu raises an eyebrow, “Climbing...a thing. That’s helpful.”

“Can you take us to her, Jorraan?” Nazz asks.

“Oh yeah!” Jorraan says and without another word, turns around and starts running.

“Wait, Jorraan!” you say, “Did you get your crystal?”

Jorraan stops suddenly, turning around with his huge, boyish grin. A yellow glow emanates from between his fingers. Without a word, he turns back around and continues running.

You continue to follow Jorraan until you reach...a thing.

You thought this cave ended in a dead end at first, but you realize that the wall in front of you slants forward, leaving an opening at the top. The wall also looks to be covered in writing of some sort.

“She went up there,” Jorraan points to the opening Ara must have climbed up through.

You almost panic before Ara catches herself, continuing her climb up the smooth slope.

No, I think I’m good she says as her fingers dig into the small cracks left by the writing.

What even is this thing? you say as you feel out the carvings in front of you.

A building or something? I think this is an outside wall. Judging by the angle it might be some kind of pyramid. I can sense my crystal at the top, though.

Good luck, you say, sensing Ara nodding.

You let the mental connection fade as you study more of the writing in stone. You let the silver glow of your crystal light the wall as you discern the bits and pieces of words and sentences left by the ancient Jedi.

“This word means sleep I think. Maybe it means rest or resting. Rouzmas o d’Je’daii-Bendu. Resting of Jedai-Bendu?”

“So this is another Jedi grave?” Nazz asks, “Like the one we were in?”

“No, there’s something modifying the word Jedi that I don’t recognize. I think it might mean “un-Jedi” or “anti-Jedi” or something like that but it might just mean non-Jedi,” you tell her.

“So this is either a grave for people who weren’t Jedi or it’s a grave for super ancient dark Jedi. Great,” Lu says.

The wall begins to shake spreading to the cave walls around you. It feels as if the whole cave structure is going to sink.

“Dark Jedi it is then,” Lu sighs.

Nazz begins, “We need to go get Ara before…”

Ara rockets out of the opening in the ceiling and rolls on the ground a few times before landing on her back, holding up a small purple crystal.

“We need to go,” she says, getting up and gesturing down back where you came from.

What do you do?

Your group continues its trot until you find yourself at another dead end.

“Lu! I thought you knew where you were going!” Ara shouts.

“I do!” Lu says, pointing up at a hole in the ceiling large enough to fit you all through one at a time with the sun shining through it. “I hope you guys have practiced Force Jumps!”

Lu centers himself and leaps into the air, soaring out of the hole and onto solid ground. Ara follows after him, lifting gracefully off the ground and landing with little noise on the earth above. Next, Jorraan takes several steps back and getting a running start. He barrels through the air, his hand catching the hole. He pulls himself up while Ara and Lu help.

Nazz gives you a smile saying, “I thought this trial might be tedious and tiring...but it rocks!”

As she finishes the pun, she launches herself up slamming into Jorraan’s back on the edge of the hole, knocking them to the ground away from the hole.

Now it’s your turn.

You bend your knees to jump and lift off, the Force propelling you further than your muscles ever could. You feel an ocean or rubble and rock filling the cave behind you as you finally enter into the sunlight for the first time in way too long.

You seem to be out until you feel a sharp pain hit your ankle.

“Ah!” you cry out, looking down to see your foot oddly angled between two large rocks as the ground beneath you still quakes.

It only takes a second for you to free yourself and fall on the ground.

“Pax!” Nazz cries out, “Are you okay?”

What do you do?

This isn’t your first time breaking a bone, although Force you hope it’s just dislocated. You hold out a hand and Nazz begins to help you up. You grimace at the pain at first but bite down on your lip and hold it in.

“We need...to get to sturdier ground before we worry about me,” you murmur as clear as you can. Before you can say anything else, Lu grabs your other shoulder and the three of you rush away from the shaking ground, Ara and Jorraan just ahead of you.

“There!” Ara shouts, pointing toward a patch of woods away from the hills that cover the caves you just exited from. “That’s the closest patch of big trees, which means there’s probably no caves right beneath it.”

You all make your way there, lying down in the shade of the trees. The ground here isn’t shaking at least.

“So,” you say as Lu and Nazz lay you down, “Anyone know anything about Force Healing? Not for me, of course, I’m just asking for a friend.”

You laugh at your own joke until your back hits the ground and rattles your foot, shooting pain back through your whole body.

“Okay,” Lu says as his small form stomps toward her, “What did you do, Ara?”

“I got my crystal! What was I supposed to do?” Ara defends herself.

“It’s fine,” Ara accepts, “And I’m sorry too.”

The silence carries on for another minute before you interrupt, “So about that Force healing thing...I wasn’t joking.”

“I don’t want to accidentally give you Force Cancer or something,” Says Lu.

“Yeah,” Ara agrees, “That doesn’t seem like something you ‘learn in the field’.”

Nazz exclaims, “If your foot was cybernetic I could fix it I bet.”

“I’ll try.”

Everyone turn to look at Jorraan.

“Jorraan,” Lu says, “Have...have you been taught anything about Force healing?”

“No, but I know how to break bones. So putting them together again shouldn’t be too hard.”

Jorraan closes his eyes and focuses on your foot and you feel the Force swell around it. You decide to close your eyes as well and use the Force to focus on your foot just to see what he’s doing.

Jorraan’s thoughts leak into your own head.

Mom always said the easiest way to break a foot is right above the joint. Apply enough pressure and it’ll crack. So if I focus there on filling in those cracks and on putting it back in place…

An odd vibrating feeling takes over your foot as the Force flows through it in a way you’ve never felt before.

“I think it’s working,” you say softly to yourself, still nervous as your foot seems to almost glow with energy.

Jorraan keeps focusing as everyone else looks on in awe.

After a few more moments, he opens his eyes and gives you a big smile.

“I think I fixed the fractures, filled in the cracks and stuff. Don’t move it just yet though.”

“Why’s that?” you ask him.

“Well, I couldn’t figure out how to relocate the bone with the Force without moving a bunch of other stuff,” he explains as he firmly grabs your ankle.

“Wait, what are you--”

“On the count of three…”

“Um, Jorraan…”

“Three!”

Jorraan pulls on your ankle and a loud crack sounds through the forest followed by you screaming in pain.

“Sorry, that was how dad taught me to relocate bones,” says Jorraan.

Once you’ve recovered from the pain you get up and find you can walk on you foot with only a slight limp. Hopefully you won’t have to do too much running for the rest of the trial.

“Well, let’s get going to the shrine. It’s supposed to be passed the mountains, to the east, right?” Lu asks.

“Yeah!” Nazz replies, “We finally get to make lightsabers! Bvvv VvvvVVv Vvvvvvvvv!”

Nazz mimicks the noise of a lightsaber.

It isn’t too long before you can see the ruins you’re headed to.

“Oh, guys,” Ara says, “I should probably tell you what I did that caused the cave-in just in case there’s something like that here.”

Everyone looks at her curiously.

“I kiiiinda robbed a dark Jedi’s grave.”
