I am a man of many tastes, except one of course, but that's beside the point. I'm not even sure how I got here, or who I was in the past. to be honest, i'm not even sure what my name is. I've watched the years go by from my trusty stump for so long it all feels like one long day at this point.

I wonder how I ended up dead in the first place...

That would be helpful, unfortunately, I haven't been able to formulate accurate flashbacks for quite some time. figures, being dead and all...

either way, I guess whats in the past is in the past. maybe i'll adopt a new name, one more fitting of a lonely old skull.

This. Is there anything in the grain or surrounding soil that could give clues as to what is going on with this tree? Does the soil seem awkward or poisoned in any way? Is the tree grain old, termite infested or even freshly cut?

well, the stump was almost definitely a tree at one point, but its long since been cut down. the grass near my chin is short and pale green, like during the winter of a warm place... or the summer of a cold place.

I cant fully remember what happened to me, but something tells me I died in a pointless way. I don't like to think about it.
