The floor of our room is the same warped piece of plywood as every other room in the house. If you can call it a house. There is one window that has never been clean it provides a dirty yellow green light. We sleep on a canvas cot with a comforter from Walmart and a pillow with no pillow case. There are pencils next to the large computer monitor we found in the dumpster

The room is as it always was, a small, cramp and decrepit apartment room with a single bed, dresser, a old crappy tv, a small table that has two chairs and a notebook as well as a laptop on it that's near the small counter with a sink and microwave on it that is next to a fridge. There is a small door to the left of the miniature kitchen that is the only other room which is the bathroom with a shower/bath hybrid, counter with sink and a few cabinets in it, and of course, a toilet. In other words, what you would expect of a mostly typical, crappy apartment.

The pencil is stuck to our back, we accidentally slept on it in juuust the right way that it caused a chronic spinal pain by pinching a nerve. (Now THAT'S like real life.)

Our room, counter to pathetic fallacy, is a fairly happy looking room (makes it sadder that way.) it shows someone loved us at some point. The walls are painted pink, it has all sorts of colorful girly things, notebooks, figurines, doo dads and various consumer goods and packaging that we tried to fill our empty void with.

We let out a long, ragged sigh.

You reach for the window quietly staring at the owl. Strangely you feel as if you dident fuck up with this choice. As you open the window the expected doesn't happen. The owl dosent lunge out you hungry for blood.

Sadly though the window is second story. You would land in bushes and you most likely woulden't die right away.

Either way the owl gently flaps about into your room hooting and generally seeming exciting. Some kinda barn own. Wonder what it's doing in the city.

Though you suppose.....It would be nice to have a pet?
