It originally got so many votes back during the April Fools thread because of how wacky and zany it was. The fact that Real Robot Adventures also had demos of other games to play to break up any potential monotony helped too.

A part of the reason I don't vote is that I feel like I can't particularly interact with the quest or get involved because of how erratic player choice rolls are. This can create long stretches of time before anything a quester votes for is considered. Then how schizophrenic quest actions can be at times because of how randomly choice rolls are picked doesn’t seem encouraging for prolonged stretches of involvement.
With the way the roll counting system works, personally I feel the quest prompts seems to be designed for small groups of players to play at time like up to 3 or so.

But that's the thing, QM. The current rolling system is such that at the expense of potential overriding authority in those votes, there's drastically less consistency in those votes' priority. So the price of potentially allowing any questers to hop in to play is that those same questers aren’t supported for an extended duration of play. Other rolling systems have different benefits and drawbacks in that sense.

Time is definitely important. I missed more than half of Real Robots just because of time zone.
OP has been trying hard to really switch up the times to try and catch his players. I'm on, I think, 4chans standard est time and this game usually runs way past my bed time or during the middle of the weekday so it's been really hard to catch.
I wouldn't underestimate timing. It's not a bad quest or anything, I think the 'unpopularity' really is due to mostly things like timing.
I could be wrong, but I've seen it happen to a looot of quests. No matter how good.
OP gets an average of about three or 4 players per session and then people gradually have to leave and the thread dies.
Or he has to play with only two people before others join in etc. It's a lot of timing stuff.
His quests are very good so the problem could probably be fixed by doing what other QM's do and using a twitter account.
Always link to it in the first post of the game, and then post a day or so ahead of time when you'll be doing the game.
That's what most QMs do to alert their regulars. And it works most of the time.
Also, about rolling mmm
It's really hard for OP to change his method because he has to start drawing pretty quick or else the thread wouldn't move as fast.
He has to have something to make the decision quick and easy, and while voting feels better a lot of the time it is a lot easier to see a number and just know what you're doing.

Or it might be something simple and fixable.
Your games are great and there's very few people who don't love a decent draw quest.
Robots are awesome, and fun to draw because of all the boxiness.

Indeed. In this case, it'd be a drastic distinction between having your Twitter linking to your threads and your threads linking to your Twitter because unless something is explicitly stated in your thread, it's unlikely your anons are going to realize it's there and bother looking for it.
