Dawn of Worlds is a collaborative World Building exercise where the players are gods in a new world. They can choose to work together as a pantheon for their combined prosperity or compete as they struggle for dominance.

Submit Gods like so
>God Name
>Domain/Sphere of Influence
>Alignment (Lawful, Unaligned or Chaotic)
>Personality Traits e.g. Aggressive, Cruel, Protective, Secretive, etc. You must have at least two Personality Traits and a max of five.
>Appearance (Optional) e.g. a Giant Six armed humanoid with golden skin and no eyes.

Rule Changes (In addition to the attached PDF)
-Start with 2d6+5 Power Point, and gain 2d6+4 Power Points each round, with the bonus decreasing each round until it reaches 0.
-1 inch=2 Hexes on the Map I'll post next.
-If a player is inactive for three rounds, they are removed
-Players can act in any order, regardless of their points.
-Race Creation undergoes the following changes
>Races have three Personality Traits. They must share at least one Personality Trait with their parent god, who decides their personality traits. These effect how the race acts. Lots of Corruption/Purification can affect their traits. A sub-race must share at least one trait with the parent race.
>Races also have physical traits, stuff like Long-Lived, Regeneration, Flight, etc. They can have any number of these, with real-life average humans serving as the base. When a players makes a race, they list as many of these as they want but if I or another player feels they are OP, they can veto the race's creation until the other player changes the trait. Same applies with subraces

The world in which the game takes place. As things stand, no sentient life exists and few patches of land exist above the endless sea- only the tops of underground mountains, on some of which beaches have formed. An ice cap exists to the far south.
>>
>>1283569
>Izl'aksii-Krosis

>Domain: Intrigue, Deception, and Inspection
>Alighnment: Lawful Evil
>Personality: Secretive, Plotful, Regal

First God, good. Remember, you start with 2d6+5 so you've 15 starting power.
>>
>>1283600
Use my power to make a three land continents, two large ones, with one small one seperated from the main two.
>>
>>1283632
Make the continents where on the map?
>>
>>1283640
The two large continents in the middle, with the smaller one near the glacial cap.
>>
What are the personalities you can choose for the god OP? I can't see them on the pdf.
>>
>Ari'kratin

>Domain: Desert of the the eastern most continent
>Alignment: Chaotic neutral
>Personality: Decisive, calculated, loyal, depressed
>Appearance: A tall lanky figure, who has arms that go down to his knees. An aura of deep red surrounds his tall figure, with a long flowing green robe. A feeling of calmness seems to surround this figure

I'm playing as the GM, I just use this tag to make me easier to see. I don't have a god, per say, in the world.

>>1283653
>>1283654
You have 9 Power, thanks to starting +5.

>>1283647
I'm a bit unsure still, but I hope I've got it right. Can I ask people be specific as possible or copy the current map and edit in the changes you're doing yourself

>In a realm far from the mortal world, a god flicks one of hs many arms, making a gesture of power. In the mortal world, the oceans shake as several large areas of stone are forced to rise from the sea bed to the top of the waters.
>>
>>1283668
I mean is there a list of personalities for me to choose from when I make my god or do I just make them up?
>>
Rolled 5, 4 + 5 = 14 (2d6 + 5)

>>1283569
I like this idea

>Ishi-lo

>Domain: Ice, Rain, Change
>Alignment: Chaotic Good
>Personality: Excitable, Understanding, Easily bored
>Apperance: A large creature of multi-colored ice, constantly melting and reforming. A permanent cloud lies above him giving more water to freeze as other parts melt off.
>>
>>1283675
You can make them up, making a list would be limiting. If you need ideas, just think of Greek gods or other historical pantheons and the characteristics of the deities there.

>>1283681
Nice to see another. When you and Ari'kratin make your moves, we can move onto the next round.

Just to make something clear, unless you summon an Avatar, the gods all exist in separate demiplanes.
>>
>>1283692
Using my power to Shape land, I'm gonna create spires of black ice (so it doesn't melt) throughout the large desert in the bottom left.
>>
>>1283697
How much power do you wish to use? Shape Land affects two hexes for every three points spent.
>>
Rolled 2, 6 = 8 (2d6)

>>1283692

>Jenahri

>Domain: Justice, Order, Law and Honor.

Also, not as important, but also manage their Power as they post.

No problem. Though the three in the thread have posted now, are we moving to turn 2?

>>
>>1284022
I actually had 15 OP. I spent five to form the Jungle continent.
>>
>>1284038
How exactly? Shape Land costs three per two Hexes, not 1. You created ten new hexes, using Shape Land, so that actually leaves you with 0 Power.

>>1284010
Thanks. /tg/ thread had a 3 god limit, didn't know if that was carrying over or if you wanted new people in after the first turn.

Gonna use all of my 22 points to break the current mold and zap some life onto this world. Unto the Ocean I create Giant Leviathan's to inhabit the sea! (pic related) First creation is at the tile north-east of the black ice pillar in the sea.

I'm now at zero points for now and creator of the first life on the planet, monsters.

It is fine, just keep an eye on the PDF in future.

>>
>>1284060
Create Race is usually used to create sentient species, as natural wildlife is presumed to exist already. If they're not sentient, then I'll allow you create them for 17 points instead.

>>1284080
Sentient, but in the way that dragons are sentient.

Unaligned
>Personality Traits
Protective, Nurturing, Vengeful, Patient
>Appearance (Optional)
A giant tree shaped as an humanoid, covered in leaves (which change according to the seasons)
>>
>>1284098
How sentient is that? Are we talking 'riddle games with hobbits' or 'able to figure out where cows and delicious people are'? Do they have speech, a culture, family identities?
>>
>>1284080
>>1284060
Actually, let's do it. The Leviathans are the first fauna in existence, sentient or non-sentient. There's plant life, but no fish, mammals or avain life forms. A pretty interesting concept.
A non-sentient race can be added for 12 points if it a real world race, e.g. bears, or 17 if mytihical.

>>1284080
I'll update it now. The purple L represents where the leviathans live.
>>
>>1284120

>>
>>1284146
Probably not!
>>
>>1284146
Absolute last guy.
>>1284098
If they are sentient, full 22 points (maybe more, because they seem like a powerful race) and you need to describe their three personality traits and whatever their physical traits are.

>>1284129
Shape Land
>>
>>1284142
>>1284157

I'd like to build the lagoon between the two-hex mountain area, the green lands, and the upside-down L chain just above it. 9 points for six hexes. Warm and fertile (does coral count as a fish or plant life)?

Are we updating the map ourselves, or do you want to keep control of it so there's a clear continuation?
>>
>>1284120
I guess since they would be fauna, lets go with non-sentient, but extremely territorial. They are monsters after all, dangerous ones. So 17 points for a mythical creature then.

That would leave me at 5 points, not 0.

Also, taking a look at what gods we have currently, it's a surprisingly even mix. Two Chaotic gods, two good gods, one Evil one. The rest are unaligned. It's a pretty good mix imo.
>>
>>1284166
Darn cross-board posting took away my name.
>>
>>1284166
You can update it yourself, if you want, because I'm not entirely sure what you wish to do with the lagoon.
After you are done, next round. Those who joined this round, if you haven't acted, don't roll.
Coral would be plant, I guess.

Damn, missed some of that. As far as their traits go, Incredibly territorial. Physically, very large and strong, with two strong arms in the front for grabbing food and keeping others out of their territory. Much like the picture posted, with the exception of thick flat teeth for grounding up plant matter and whatever else it grabs to eat.

And then the roll is for points gained in the next round. I'm assuming it's still 2d6 +5

Current points: 5

I'm going to use twelve of my points to create an upward flow of water in the marked areas on the map, creating a mile high wall surrounding the icecap. The water is pulled from the depths and pushed upward, then falls of on the side, if possible.

This leaves me with two points
