You wake up when the plane hits the tarmac at Haneda International, the sudden bump jolting you from dreams of being a teenager again with Kaidou back before....well....before.
The airplane is uncomfortable but you're lucky that Kaidou paid for a First Class ticket. You sure as hell don't have the money for one yourself. You can barely afford to take the time off from work honestly, but he WAS your best friend growing up and your dads were friends.
Brothers, really. Like you and Kaidou used to be.
You stare at the reflection of yourself in the window as the plane eases into it's berth; you look maybe a year or two off from being your proper age of twenty-five, and your dark brown hair is marred by a few forelocks of blonde that is pretty much the only thing your father gave you for free that didn't come with bruises or a lifetime of bullshit. The rest of you looks like your mother, even if you have your dad's features otherwise.
<"Did you sleep well, Lee-san?"> comes the voice of the tiny Japanese guy who was in San Francisco for business reasons who was your single-serving friend for the flight.
<"It was alright,"> you answer. Your Japanese is still pretty good even after not having spoken it for six years.
You collect your sports duffle bag from the storage compartment overhead and head into Tokyo.

OPENING THEME

You go through the drudgery of airport procedure, painfully aware of how much taller you are then most of the people in the airport; in your red jacket and blue jeans you stand maybe four inches above everyone else here, and the homogenous nature of things kinda makes you feel like you stick out.
You had no luggage outside the duffel so you just head right outside and wait for the taxi that was supposed to take you to Kaidou's house where you'll stay before the funeral.
After looking for awhile you find a black LIMOSINE instead of a taxi, with a guy in front holding a sign with your name on it.
Huh. You know Kaidou was pretty loaded, but a limo? Maybe you should have taken him up on his offer when you were nineteen, maybe YOU'D have money too then.
>[Take the Limo, might as well get outta the city fast]
>[Hire your own cab. You HATE being waited on, even by Ryusei.]

We are a man of the people... even though we couldn't spar in an airport...
>>1274319Truth be told, Brandon Lee doesn't do much "sparring" at all anymore.

We're not some low-class pleb.
Got a tie here it seems.

Roll for it or wait for a tiebreaker.

This, also cause we're tall and I'm imagining terrible cramped subcompact cabs. Be nice if we could get our hands on an R32 Skyline or something but in the meantime limo a best.
