You wake up in the same humid warmth you fell asleep in, your grey t-shirt darkened by sweat on your chest and armpits. You step out of your hammock constructed from fishing nets and old quilts, your feet his the rough wooden floor and you make your way over to the wicker chest containing your outfits. You dig for a while before pulling out a light tan button up and some weathered blue jeans, you change into the dryer clothes and slip on your black combat boots before going down the hatch to the main area of your abode. You open the battered dirty fridge and pull out a small glass bottle of water and take a conservative sip.

You grab your empy backpack and decide to get on with your scavenging for the day. You open the hatch and before climbing down into the thick woods you grab your best friend from your weapon rack.

You grab the battered rifle and test the bolt, it still slides smoothly after years of use, you pack an extra box of ammunition and place the second clip in your upper left pocket.

You descend the ladder from your home with the rifle hanging to your side from the cracked leather sling. Your feet hit soft mossy forest floor, you look around and bid goodbye to Barry, the massive work bot that you found deactivated here when you found the forest hideaway, his battery provides power and radio signals he dispenses shield you from anyone with a Electro-Location Device.

You head down the path and look at the various flora that grow in this mutated jugle, eventually you come to a semi-familiar location and know there are a few scavenge sites you can get to from here.

You head for the wreck of a Sky-Carrier that you discovered when you were scanning for radio signals in the area through Barry. You head through the thick foliage slipping between branches and under vines, perspiration gathers on your forehead before too long and you feel like you're walking through a thick cloud.

Buzzing insects surround you but you don't mind and allow them to circle you, you eventually smell the nostril burning scent of spilt fuel. You push through the brush and look at the wreckage. A large vehicle resembling an aircraft carrier ship but with large propellers on each corner.

The ship lies in two parts, the northern section has an abundance of trees going through the left propeller but other than a few large dents and a few scorch marks while the southern section lies in more ruin with large panels of metal missing and exposed cables with rust beginning to seize it. You pull the bolt and chamber a round before heading into the ship.

You make your way slowly onto the deck of the shop using the built on ladder, the bars are cool to the touch as you pull yourself up nearly 30 feet and onto the flight deck.

The top of the ship slants sideways and a variety of smaller one man airplanes lay scattered and in broken fragments among the trees. One ship sits upside down and besides a cracked cockpit windscreen and what must surely be damaged navigation equipment from a craft so old.

You see a few gas canisters scattered across the deck and broken open crates. A small structure sits in the back center with it's iron door left ajar.

If the crates are open then someone probably already looted them.

You approach the plane and look it over. It definitely seems to have somehow survived the elements far better than the others, you assume the dense foliage above protected it from most water damage.

The windscreen is cracked and would never hold up to flying speeds but other than that besides what appears to be a stolen Navigation Module and general upkeep being needed it seems capable of flight.

You examine a few of the gas canisters around the plane and some liquid sloshes around in some, you pull a few plastic canteens from your pack and fill them with the fuel. Hopefully it has not gotten to the point it can't be used. While securing the fuel you hear a small squeak behind you and turn to see a man.

At most nineteen years old, he freezes in place staring at you as you instinctively turn with your rifle in hand. His hands stay by his side as his eyes begin moving rapidly, his pack is so full it cannot be fully closed. Canned rations and bottles of water sit in the side mesh pockets of his pack.
