The "Tyrants" circle you, their eyes radiating want.
Want for your flesh.
Your bones.
Your position.
Your unlife.
You are Red-Scale-Growl, the five-cycle-old sovereign of the Deadlands, The Tyrant King, and you are dead.
Your lungs yet fill with air; you still draw breath, your prodigious muscles radiate with strength. But you are dead.
How did you die? How else would one of your kind die in these blasted wastes? Death by the hordes starving little ones? Starvation? Provoking another predator?
It matters not. All that matters is the blistering rage in your core. The fury you awoke with after your death. The consuming lust for blood that constantly beats behind your crimson orbs.
The idea that these inferiors would even dare to lay claim to your title is no less than infuriating. Stamping your pale-white leg into the ground, you let loose a terrible roar. The ground shakes, and the flocks flee as you declare your intent.
All in the Deadlands understand what that sound means.
The King hungers.
Two of the smaller "Tyrants" flee outright. Numbers meaning nothing to them as they witness the sovereign. The remaining three tyrants continue to circle you, intent on usurping you. Their size reminding you of your own.
It seems like there might just be a Tyrant in them.
