The Tribe stand in the dirt upon a mountain side, the snow gently falling but not settling at this height, below great fields and trees stretched into the distance, ahead a vast climb. Having your last tribe mostly killed out by an avalanche you all decided to relocate to a safer haven. Bird song carries through the air as the wind gently rustles the pine trees. The snow and cool air being of little inconvenience to the yetis thick fur and large builds. Twigs crunch under bare foot as each heavy step leads the beasts further up the slopes. The Tribe finds a clearing in trees, the earth is dry and relatively flat and the gaps among the trees allow for a large amount of warming sunlight to pierce to the ground. The males stand in at 7 foot tall, thick white fur coating their strong builds, Females look almost identical albeit it slightly larger, the defining feature of the males is downwards curved horns similar to that of goats.

You may decide whether to move further up the mountain, head back down, left or right. Settle. Gather supplies. Attempt to breed. Research certain things. Gather food. All rolls for successful breeding, gathering and research are to be made on a D100. Female will be more likely to accept breeding when there is a comfortable home and abundance of food.

The Yetis stockpile their carcasses in the clearing, piling up the skinned meat into a red heap. Azos the Alpha signs to rest of the tribe that they need to find more food in order to survive the next few days. The three males group up with Azos and trek into the woodland in search of any food to hunt or forage. Meanwhile Okuc the Elder sets about to guarding the food pile they have stocked, clearing out the debris around the precious meat. Zeda the Matriarch gathers her females and head in the opposite direction to the males, scavenging for food themselves. The forest is bountiful in small berries and mushrooms and nuts, allowing the tribe to easily forage and gather a mixed variety of small treats. Azos and his hunting party are trekking deeper into the woods, branches snapping in wet moss as each footstep presses the forest floor down, in the distance they spot a deer although it flees before the approaching giants, Azos smiles to himself knowing there is now meat in the forest as well accompanying the natural supplies growing in the brush. After a couple of hours both parties return to the clearing where Okuc is sat next to the meat, having cleared out thorn bushes and weeds and general debris from the area, he grey shaggy fur warming him from the cold pine air.

The Yeti tribe stockpile their food, keeping the berries and nuts away from the pile of raw bloodied meat. Azos leads an exploratory party to scout the surrounding area, while Zeda does the same. Azos leads his party of horned males up the slopes to explore higher into the mountain, the ground is fairly steady and easy to navigate thus far. After a while the sound of running water is caught in the wind, the group stumble upon a small waterfall trickling into a pond, between them and the little pond a small dirt road winds up into the mountains. Its no river or lake but its enough to support a small group, near it is a stick impaled into the ground with orange cloth wrapped around the top. Meanwhile Zedas group head east through the woodland, keeping level with the clearing of food. The occasional deer in the distance and flutter of birds breaks the quiet wind of the forest, the eventually clear the conifer trees and are stood atop a large hill, stretched infront of them are fields and another hill, at the foot of the second hill they can see a vast forest, much more densely packed and varied than their current home, strange sounds emanate from it, they also find more berries growing in the sunlight rich hill, gathering some before heading back.

The males bury their heads into the pond lapping up the water, it is only a few feet by a few feet and supports no substantial life, but is enough to keep the Yetis refreshed. They return to camp, signing to the Elder that they have found fresh water. Okuc gathers up branches and sticks, encouraging the others to do the same, the follow suite albeit less enthusiastically, he beings leaning the branches on nearby trees, one after another until enough rest to form a small shelter. It wont do much against a storm but its enough to keep the Yetis slightly drier and protect them from cold winds. One of the Yetis crawls inside, its snug but he just about fits.
Back at the hill the females trudge down the slopes, following their matriarch patiently until eventually they reach the mouth of the forest. It is darker inside, twisted trees reach high into the air, their canopies blocking the sun from the floor. Strange birdsong and noises echo out, the trees are dense but spacey enough that the yetis can navigate it just.

Back at camp Okuc helps others assemble makeshift shelter to rest against their home trees, he picks up rocks and sticks attempting to build them better, dropping rocks near and on the sticks. In his frustration at nothing seeming to work he simply growls and goes back to the food stockpile. The other males under Azos leadership gather nearby branches and carefully lean them. They now have half a dozen “tents” built against the large pine trees.
The females tentatively approach the misty forest, the ground becoming softer under their heavy feet, the smell of water, aged wood and strange aromas filling their nostrils. Birds flutter away deeper into the forest as the females approach. Zeda leading her brood forwards.

The females feel uncomfortable and leave the mouth of the forest, heading back up the grassy slopes towards their pine woods. After an hour or so of walking through the woodland floor they make it back to their clearing. Somewhat impressed by the 6 “tents” that now rest against the trees the females evict the males from them. Grunting and signing at Azos about a different woodland not far from here, he nods and grunts gathering his men, heading off into the distance. They eventually wind up back where the females were, and carefully stalk through the winding trunks and soft moss floor. Their large feet sink into the mud as they clamber through bushes and thick twisting vines, the large trees block out any sound of the wind and all that can be heard is the croaking of frogs and occasional screech of a bird

The males push deeper into the trees, a thin mist whirls beneath their feet and wisps at their furry shins. Their large pawed hands clasping at trees as they step into the marshy dirt. They follow the sound of croaking frogs, clambering over trees and logs covered in thick overgrowth until they find a large pond, motionless and calm. It spans a dozen metres or so in every direction. The males sniff the air before their eyes lock onto a figure on the other side of the water. A slender lithe humanoid, furry looking and green and brown, its face a pale white and expressionless. It looks up from the water and stares calmly at the beasts before quickly clambering a tree and leaping into the canopy above. The Yetis bare their teeth in a defensive display, unsure of how to react around the creature.

So, where should we actually settle down?
The new forest is way too wet and warm for yetis, it will be hard to live there.
Pond is too close to road.
And our current location don't have anything special on it.

I'd say we stay here for few nights and then keep looking for cozy snowy pine forest that would have more interesting features than current location.

Unnerved by the slender small humanoid, Azos decides to call his hunting party back to the clearing in order to rest for the night. They carefully climb back through thick bushes and splash in marshy puddles. One stop suddenly looking up at canopy, the leaves rustle gently above the yetis before calming. They slowly back away and out of the woods and climb up the hill, the sun touching the top of the unnerving forest, the sky illuminated in oranges and pinks. Theyre walking back through the pine forest when a deer limps in front of them, several metres between them. It freezes, its ears picking up and turns its head to stare at the large horned beasts. The males begin to spread out in both directions, slowly and carefully while keeping their eyes on the deer. It limps backwards awkwardly, its leg bloodied. As it stumbles once more, Azos leaps forward in a full bound. The Deer panics and attempts to spin, buckling under its damaged leg, it desperately begins an awkward gallop but too late, Azos tackles it to the floor, a second later joined by his brothers, they pin it down and raise their paws, beating the deer as Azos tears into its throat.
Half an hour later they return to camp carrying the deer carcass. Dropping it in the pile near Okuc. He grunts approvingly, the females already in their make shift tents as the sun slowly sets.

The males tear the deer apart, taking chunks as gifts to the females in an attempt to seduce them. Leaving bloodied chunks at the entrance to the “tents”. The females crawl out sniffing at the meat, miraculously they all seem impressed and happily engage with the males. Zeda and Azos being the 2 leaders spend the night together, being the top breeding pair. All four females return to their tents, Azos and Ocuk retire to theirs as the rest of the males lay in the dirt nearby.
Ocuk is awoken during the night by a noise, his eyes open slowly and he growls crawling out of his tent. The 3 males rest, grunting gently in their sleep, convinced they werent the ones who awoke him he looks over to the pile of food, his eyes focusing on the disturbance. Crouched by the pile of berries is a small human like figure, its body clad in greens and browns, its face a solid rectangle of brown. It stands up, spotting the Elder Yeti, silently it leaps and crawls up a pine tree before leaping to another one until out of sight. Ocuk snarls and retreats into his shelter, keeping his eyes open for intruders until sunrise. Rays of light begin to break through the pines and shower the dirt in light. The Yetis awaken one by one early and plod their way slowly to the food, shovelling handfuls of meat and berries into their fanged gullets, Happily chewing and swallowing the deer and goat.

Ocuk stares down at the food pile, concerned about the intruder into the camp, whatever it was. He begins digging a small hole near the food, a couple of feet deep. Shovelling handfuls of dirt out of the ground until he seems satisfied. Grabbing a nearby branch and gnawing the end until it is somewhat sharp he jabs it into the hole, a primitive pitfall trap. He then makes a loud yawning sound followed by some grunts, calling the other males over, they along with Azos stomp over to their Elder. Grasping a rock in his hand he throws it at a nearby tree, the others follow its motion and then look back at Ocuk perplexed. He repeats this action a few times until in frustration he throws the rock at one of the males. It pelts into his shoulder, causing him to growl and grasp where he was struck, he bares his teeth at Ocuk but quickly backs down out of respect. The others now grasp that thrown objects can harm creatures. Pleased in the knowledge that the males somehwat understand the basics Ocuk resumes his trench digging.

Oh boy, just got home from work and yeti quest continues.

How long untill females find it hard to move long distances/work because of pregnancy?
And how long does pregnancy usually take for yetis?

Also did yetis had any technology before this?

>sent two small groups of males at opposite directions along the mountain side, following the border where the snow stays at ground, to scout for promising ground for tribe to settle
>Females study the local fauna and flora, trying to find new plants that they could eat.

Azos takes his males back up to the pond, trekking back to the stick with the orange cloth around it and drinking from the pool. Azos grabs one of the males and grunts at the others. They split up and head in different directions along the mountainside.
Back at camp Okuc continues to dig a small spiked trench around the stock pile, grunting grumpily as he shovels dirt, occasionally helping himself to a berry. The females grow restless, unknown to them they carry child, they begin to forage the nearby area, gathering up small morsels of food, inspecting the local flora. Zeda goes to the stockpile picking up the random blue berries and red furry berries. She looks down noticing a small pile of mushrooms that she hasnt seen yet as her females didnt collect it. Curiously she picks them up, small and thin, pale with dots lining their head. She places them small pile back down unsure of them.
Azos and the male have been trekking through the treeline, keeping their eyes on the snowy slopes above them. As the cold wind whips against their thick fur they find a large crevice in the side of the mountain, Big enough for a yeti to squeeze through without too much trouble. As they approach sniffing at the slit in the mountain they hear the faint sound of bells in the wind.

Zeda steps back from the pile as Okuc finishes his little trench, though not very deep and dotted randomly with varying sharp sticks, its a start. Okuc sighs loudly before standing up and attempting to find some stones to use as a piercing weapon. He shuffles away into the trees, kicking branches and leaf piles, kicking mounds of pine needles and woodland debris, finding a mixture of rocks, he shrugs and carries back a handful of mostly blunt stones. Zeda leaving the pile of mushrooms and the collected berries joins her brood of females and forages, coming across beautiful forest flowers and listening to the sound of birds chirping and tweeting from tree to tree. They manage to gather up some more berries and mushrooms growing in the shadier parts of the woods.
Back at the mountain side the sound of bells drifts off into the wind, the Yetis not distracted by the haunting and strange sounds decide to press their luck into the cave. Azos inches his way into the crack in the rocks and steps into a cool tunnel, dry and rocky, a couple of feet taller than a yeti it is able to accommodate one walking through it. The cold breeze outside no longer lashing at his fur, he stops to let his eyes adjust to the dim light, the tunnel winds slowly upwards, urging the other male to enter they press deeper into the cavern. After several minutes of travelling the light is almost non existent, struggling to find their way, Azos feels a small breeze ahead, pushing forward and upwards they find themselves entering a small opening in the tunnel. They stand in a dimly lit cave, large enough for several Yeti to occupy, a light streaks into the room from another tunnel, while yet a third tunnel delves deeper into the world.

Azos and the male drag their bare paws across the dusty cool rock floor, heading towards the light. Cold wind hits their protected bodies as they step out onto a small snowy plateau, both yetis stand there staring across the landscape, below them their home forest, to the left in the distance and barely through the snowfall they can see the strange forest they visited previously. They turn their heads to the right, only to be greeted by their own home forest and more mountains stretching into the distance, the dirt path winding amongst the snowy rocks and disappearing into the distance.
Back at camp Okuc drops his heavy body to the ground outside one of the makeshift tents, picking up two rocks he begins to experiment, banging them together, after a couple of hits they shatter, seemingly amused by this he continues smashing stones together, his old mouth wrinkling in a smile as they shatter, some forming sharp thinner rocks that he notices could have potential in the future. Azos and the male return to the warmth of the cave, looking down the tunnel the came from, they turn their attention to the third tunnel spiralling deeper into the mountain. The light slowly fades from view as they descend once more into the mountain. A turn in the passage ahead leaves a pale blueish green glow against the rocks, cautiously peering around the corner as they approach, Azos is greeted by a small cluster of luminous mushrooms providing a dim coloured light. Edging deeper into the green light a large cavern opens up, the ceiling as tall as tree tops, and the room as spacious as the clearing they currently inhabited. A trickling of water runs down one of the walls, as thin rays of light bounce through whatever gap is allowing the water. It fills a small pool below surrounded by more luminous mushrooms.

>>12Pleased by what they have found, they explore the inside of the large cavern a little more, dimly lit but warmer than outside and protected from the elements the cave makes a suitable home. They notice in the far corner of the cave, more obscured by darkness is yet another passage, filled in with earth and large stone, protruding from the rocks is a skeletal arm and beneath it a full skeleton, cracked and dry and very old hey lay motionless in their tomb. Snorting at the meatless bones Azos drags the other male out of the cave and back down to the forest entrance.
Upon returning to camp the other 2 males have returned from their venture and carry a goat carcass with them, suggesting they found it dead instead of hunted, they also suggest they saw tall humanoids walking upon the path near the pond although they are long gone. Azos takes this information in before relaying the cavern they found through a series of gestures and grunts. The Yetis seem somewhat excited and begin grabbing handfuls of sticks and food to carry to their new home. Okuc lifts his greyed head and takes a small handful of berries, leaving them in the centre of the pile and roughly covering the trap with leaves to make trespassers unaware.
After a short travel lead by Zeda and Azos the Yetis reach the hole in they had discovered, one by one they enter the forested side entrance of the mountain until they reach their new home. Piling up some sharp stones and sticks, they drag the meat into a corner away from the thin rays of light entering through the crack above them.

>Yetis start gathering leaves, moss, and wood for beds so they don't have to sleep on hard cave floor.

Sharp rocks could help with wood gathering as an basic cutting tool.

Well we are pretty secured now, I quess we could watch the dirt path from the plateau, to see what kind of creatures use it, but other than that it is just food hunting.

The yetis begin to explore and settle into their new spacious home, some investigate the collapsed tunnel with the skeleton, kicking them idly out of curiosity. Zeda decides to be a home maker and begins pulling up tufts of moss from the walls and stripping the leaves from the branches and sticks they have brought with them. Amassing a small pile of soft greenery she spreads them out forming a bed for herself. As the Matriarch she gets first picks even above the Elder and Alpha. Okuc pays close attention to her bed making skills and notes to himself to make his own bed at some point, he turns his shaggy horned head and picks up the rocks and sticks, pressing the sharp stones against the wood, it is of little effect, although after many attempts one stone lodges itself in a split in the stick. Its flimsy and doesn't seem durable but for now it seems to be enough to keep Okuc happy, he places the ramshackle spear down next to his clearing on the rocks. The Yetis feel the night drawing in even with the luminous mushrooms dimly lighting their abode. They turn in for sleep.
They awake the next day to their standard meal, tearing chunks out of the gored carcasses of the goats and bursting the berries in their maws. Once they have consumed ample amounts to keep them satisfied they wash it down with thick gulps of the icy cave water trickling into the glowing pond.

Okuc passes his make shift spear to Azos, whom is currently organising a hunting party to gather more meat, he grips the weak spear in his heads and understands its purpose. He leads the males out towards the snowy slope in anticipation of a mountain goat or leopard to eat. Zeda gathers her females and they stroll leisurely past the skeletons and down the tunnel nearby to the forest in search of bushes and berries. Okuc gets up slowly before slumping against a wall, pressing rocks against sticks in hope to make more spears and begins banging rocks together in hopes of some breakthrough.
Zeda and her group exit the cave below into the woodland and begin to forage, gathering small amounts here and there as they pass through the trees calmly, the wind surprisingly tranquil, the birds quietly tweeting into the cool morning air. They return to the original clearing after some time. The pile of berries remains intact in the centre of the trap, with a leg impaled in a branch in the ditch lies a small goat, shaking and bleating, the blood matted across its leg as it squirms, stuck in the dirt. The females approach and encircle it, one approaches carefully from behind, able to grab it as it bleats and squeals before twisting its head 180 degrees with a crack. The females begin to remove the corpse when Zeda notices next to the berry pile they left is a small pile of the dotted mushrooms.
On top of the snowy slopes the male stalk through the rocks and white environment, being careful to blend in. Below them leading out of the forest they spot some movement between the trees on the path leading deeper into the mountain.

Much easier way to hunt, we should make more of these traps.

>females continue seeking for more berries and vegetables, before bringing the food and pale mushrooms back.

>Males stay still and observe to see what moves on the path

Have Okuc try tying the spears together, and before hand taking a sharp rock to make a groove into the stick so the rock has a place to slide in, and then get some vines to tie it down and be a bit more secure.

Let's also litter some more berries around the trap we have and make a few more around the area, marking them so as not to fall into them.

As for the hunting squad, let's split into two with two following the figure with the spear and the the other two hunting normally.

Zeda orders her females to gather up the mushrooms, leaving some berries in the trap. She steps carfeully over the spiked branches to inspect the ground. Sniffing at the dirt and inspecting it closely, small faint footprints are pressed lightly into the dirt, they leave the food pile and head towards a nearby tree disappearing.
Curious but unsure of how to follow, Zeda continues her search for vegetables and fruits. The females in tow, digging and foraging the pine covered ground. The females dig a smaller pit further away from their original camp but nearer to the cave entrance, pushing sharp sticks into the soft earth, in an attempt to replicate Okucs trap.
Back at camp Okuc has succesfully constructed one more spear, although no sturdier than the last, he tests it by prodding the meat pile from a distance, sighing happily at his efforts. Gathering some more moss from the walls in his spare time.~
Upon the mountainside Azos decides to split the party into 2, two of the males will continue to hunt, heading higher into the snow in search of meat. He and the remaining male lay low and carefully follow the path from high above, watching below through tree tops at the movement. After a few minutes the trees open up, and the path leads into the snow. Two figures are walking along it, a fleshy colour, they both appear bald, one has hair upon his face. They are carrying long sticks, with a bucket on each end filled with water. Though their words cannot be heard they are smiling and talking between themselves.

Okuc continues to experiment with what he has at his disposal, slamming stones together, cracking sticks. After a long period of experimentation, he bangs two rocks against each other and sparks emerge from the strike, shocked at first Okuc grunts dropping the rocks. Curiosity gets the better of him and he tries again, once more sparks burst forth briefly showering the cold rock floor. Okuc bellows excitedly in the cavern.
Azos and the male continue to follow the humanoids, clad in orange and brown fabric much like the one found back at the pond tied to a stick. They keep distance, hiding behind mounds of snow and large rocks. The mens path leads them up and down through the path among the mountainous rocks, as they follow behind the men the sound of bells can be heard once more. Eventually the men disappear over a snowy and rock rise. Giving a minute or so before sneaking a peek over, Azos loses patience and crawls up to look down, the path winds down into a large flat plateau. Many large wooden structures fill it, all bright yellows and reds and browns. Moving from building to building are many other men, all bald and clad in similar orange cloth. Some seem to be tending to large dirt patches filled with foliage, while others sit silently together, some walk around their camp laughing amongst themselves. The men with buckets empty their gathered watered into a stone cylinder before joining the rest of their species.
Back in the woods Zeda and the females continue the search for food, gathering more mushrooms and berries although none of the pale spotted mushrooms are anywhere to be seen in these woods. One Female stops in her tracks and growls, widening her arms, in front of her a large mountain lion has its body twisted around, crouched down, hissing as it draws its ears back.

Gather dry grass as tinder, light it using the sparks from the flint, and blow lightly to feed it oxygen. Using the small lit tinder, feed it smaller twigs, and start a small fire.

Have the males remember the location of the village and resume hunting.

When the females get back, have Oruk tell them to also fetch twigs for the fire.

Azos and the male continue to watch the large group of fleshy creatures, some use tools to dig into patches of earth and uproot plant life or wet the earth. Others are still sitting or conversing with one another. Satisfied that they have enough information on the strange creatures they begin to head back to home cave. Keeping to the snowy ridge, as they crunch across the snow they hear a commotion from below. Another bald orange clad man on his knees in the dirt, beside him are three others of the same species, clothed in dark browns and pale creams, one with a thick beard laughs as he kicks the bald man to the ground, another with a wooden club presses it against his back holding him in the dirt. Though the words cannot be heard from up here the yetis understand aggression and social cues.
Meanwhile Zeda and the other females slowly come to the aid of their friend, she backs away from the lion, keeping her arms and shoulders broad, the other females slowly stepping forward to group together with her, Zeda baring her teeth. The lion growls and begins a slow back shuffle into trees, realising it is outmatched by the 4 giantesses. They head back carrying what supplies they foraged and one by one begin to enter the forest entrance to their cave. Okuc had since ventured outside and grabbed handfuls of dried leaves and pine needles, piling them up in a small mound. He began to experiment on what the sparks did to other objects. Striking the sparks into the pool of water created faint smoke that pleased Okuc, He tried on the skulls near the cave in to no effect. Having become almost bored he tries once more, striking the rocks above the pile of dead foliage, the sparks last briefly among the brown and green before fading. Okucs interest peaks and he tries again and again until a small fire begins to form in the plants. Understanding that dry dead plants can hold flame, Okuc begins to feed the fire with small branches neabry.

Okuc tends to the fire that is now casting dancing shadows across the dimly lit walls of the home cavern. The females walk in through the tunnel entrance and initially freeze in confusion and anxiety at the fire that Okuc is taming. He looks up and signs to them that it is safe, the approach, curious to the heat of the fire, but prioritise laying the food down first. Okuc smiles at them before dropping a rock in the fire to test its results.
Meanwhile outside the three men continue to laugh and assault the bald man on the floor. Azos and his male companion head to a slope to the right hand side, keeping hidden they make a stealthy decline down to the forest level for a closer look. They lay low and get close enough to hear the creatures through the bushes.
“You monks are easy pickings” one says spitting on the man, the bald man is in tears.
“Im gonna enjoy smashing that egg open” The club man laughs, dragging the wood across the mans scalp. The other one stands on the monks ankle before he stops, hearing a branch snap behind him, he turns around. His eyes widen as he sees a creature, a head larger than him and much wider, lumbering forward, holding what looks like a spear. He turns around and screams as Azos is joined by the other male. Azos shoves the spear into the mans stomach and twists it, snapping the wood and stone inside his guts. The man collapses on the floor and tries to crawl backwards in a panic covering his bloodied stomach.
>>

The other two step back from the monk momentarily before club man jumps forward to aid his friend, smashing the club across Azos face, Azos stumbles backwards dazed briefly, in this moment the other male leaps forward and brings a clawed paw down across the club mans face, tearing chunks from his cheek. The man swings wildly catching the male with the club and knocking him on top of his downed friend, in the panic the two bandits flee into the forest. The man on the floor desperately try's to crawl away as the fallen yeti lands on his legs with a heavy crunch, the man screams a long agonising scream before Azos steps forward raising both fists and caves his skull in with a roar. The two males stand up, Azos tosses the mans corpse to the other Yeti to carry while he goes to check the monk, who is laying in the ground frozen in fear, crying.

Azos and the male kneel beside the bald man, his eyes filled with fear, he squirms backwards, still dizzy from his assault. The hairy duo continue to stay close, although appear calm, Azos stands over him and picks him up, the man begins to scream and squirm to Azos frustration, he grunts at the man before setting him upright. Unsure of how to react the monk stays motionless. Becoming increasingly impatient Azos grabs his wrist and begins to head back to camp.
Back at camp Okuc is tending to the fire while attempting to replicate his spear making skills, Zeda meanwhile begins snapping sticks and bending foliage in an attempt to make some make shift basket to aid in carrying food. Although its not perfect and has gaps, it looks to be able to carry more than bare hands could carry.
Outside the other 2 males return to the plateau outside the first cave, grazing on it are three goats, careful not to disturb them as the sun is setting and they already have a goat corpse, they slide into the cave and down the tunnel to the main home.
Not long after bringing the gored carcass into the cavern, Azos appears pulling the bald creature with him. He begins visibly shaking upon seeing the pile of torn meat and the other Yetis, he whimpers fearfully as Azos brings him past the pool and lets him go near Okuc. Okuc examines him and signs to the others not to eat, he dusts off a clearing next to the fire and hands the man some moss for a slight makeshift pillow.
“Please don't kill me” the man whimpers as he curls up near the fire.
Okuc rests next to him to keep an eye on him, Azos moves his sleeping area to the cave exit in order to stop a night time escape. The rest of the Yetis turn in for the night, the sound of trickling water and the occasional whimper filling the cave.
Hours pass until a couple of beams of thin light can be seen through the crack in the ceiling, bouncing off the water, slowly waking the Yetis. The females bellies have begun to show small bumps.

>>

Support, expect for catching the goats.
We don't have place to keep them, and the lone yeti would need a lot of luck, just to capture one goat, alone, not even speaking of three.

Our spear worked fine in fight, but it broke easily...maybe we could make something more durable, like the bigger version of club that bandit used.
>>
>>1274686
Well, it's a big cave. But yeah I see where you're coming from. What if we wind up grass into rope to make a prototype lead?

So we should use the spears as disposables? We could also try developing a atlatl to increase the damage.

Perhaps when hunting, we use the spears to wound it, and then use a club or some other blunt weapon to kill.
>>
>>1273460
For breakfast the yeti drop some berries and goat meat in front of the monk and quietly eat around the fire.
The rest of the tribe go about their chores, placing a large boulder over the cave entrance. The monk is left sitting by the fire as Okuc sits across from him, clumsily tinkering with spears, baskets and rocks.
Seeing that he cannot escape and doesn't have anything else to do, the monk will hopefully up some of Okuc's materials that are strewn about and start weaving to kill time.

Approaching the fire the Yetis begin their morning feast, albeit less violent than usual, taking care not to startle their captive. The Monk sits quietly by the fire, his tears and sobbing having ceased, he stares anxiously at the group of beasts. Okuc grabs a handful of berries and reaches his long shaggy arm over, dropping them onto the monks lap.The man musters a fleeting smile before eating the berries hurriedly.
The females go about their usual business although they are slightly slower than usual now that their bumps have begun to show.Descending to the forest below to gather food. The males meanwhile leave up the mountain entrance once more to gather meat. Azos and one of the males have a spear each, giving the third to the females for protection if needed, they crawl out onto the plateau to a herd of goats munching happily on the thick mountain ferns, staying low and keeping their eyes locked on them the males wait for an order.
Below in the pine forest Zeda and the females return to their berry trap, unfortunately nothing has been caught in it over night, although on inspection more Pale Mushrooms have been left in the centre, in the dirt a small stick figure with horns has been drawn with an arrow pointing in a direction of the misted thick forest. Still cautious of consuming the strange smelling mushrooms, zeda adds them to the basket. The rest of the females dig for vegetation and such plants,
Back in the cave Okuc smiles at the monk, who while still scared has settled down somewhat, standing up and walking over to him Okuc slumps down next to the man, pressing sharp rocks into the sticks, he shows his work to the monk.
“T-thats good” the man says, mustering a forced smile.
Okucs eyes are squashed by his smile, pleased at the praise, he give some sticks and rocks to the man.
“You want my help?” the man says, as Okuc passes him more materials. The man nods in an understanding and strips fibre from some of the harvested foliage and uses it to rope the stones in place. Placing the cave moss in his mouth and chewing it into a paste he spits it into the crack in the stick, cementing the rock in place to be held by the fibres. Okuc watches in fascination.

No point of herding or capturing them, as we are low on the food anyway, so we would slaughter them anyway...other options welcome.
