Post fantasy maps you're working on!
Here's a work in progress, any advice on what I can do to fill it up?

Maybe add some really little islands in the South between the two continents. Don't overdo it though.
Players :3
Also one semi-cross continent river across the East continent.

Old backlogged project where I was experimenting with tectonics.
Not sure if I like the results though. Large vertical landmasses just look weird to me.
I generated this map. I know where I'm putting the main 3 kingdoms but have no real ideas for other stuff. The theme is a mix of steampunk and magical fantasy. Gimme some town ideas!

Just follow the money mang.
First decide where the resources are and build towns there.
>Mineral Deposits, Breadbaskets, Prime Fishing, Lumber, Rare Stuff (Gems, Spices, Silk, Cocoa, Rubber), Defensible areas(castles), etc.
Then build roads connecting them to the capital and make them connect where practical. Keep roads straight as possible but avoid natural obstacles unless the trade route promises to generate enough income to make the expense of carving a road through a mountain or forest worth it.
>Build towns at the mergers and crossroads.
Water makes transportation much easier. All roads lead to water.
>Build towns at the mouth of rivers, bays and where roads meet rivers.
People like to travel during the day and sleep at night.
>Build towns along the trade routes one day's journey apart.
People traveling on the trade route get hungry.
>Build farming/fishing towns about one day's journey branched out from the trade route towns.
If farming towns aren't producing enough to meet demand, branch out from them with more farming towns.
Repeat until something bad happens and the population collapses, leaving a bunch of ghost towns, charred fields and ruins as people flee to safety.

HOLY SHIT I ACTUALLY GOT A 5
Posting the map from my naval quest. More based around providing lots of places for the players to send their ship to, rather than a realistic archipelago.

Example of an enemy map captured from a defeated gunboat that the players can use to glean intelligence from.
