This quest is an open quest, meaning you can add buildings, lore, cultur, events etc.
this is a lake, as you can see. over the past years a simple town has been built around it. they worship the spirits of the cute goblin girl skeletons. They use the lake only for fishing, they have copper mines in the north, wood cutteries in the west, and a now friendly militairy camp in the north-east.

due to an earthquake some miles south of the lake, a river has been redirected north. this caused a part of city wall to crumble and a few houses to be destroyed. it will only be a matter of weeks before the town will be drowned by the lake...

The villagers came up with a viable solution - a dam made of stone and brick to contain the water. While there was still a river, it flowed gently and was much smaller. A grate was also constructed near the chokepoint to let the water out at a much gentler pace, thus making the river outside smaller too. The swampland was still an issue, but as it dried out around the wall it was less of a problem. Bridges were built across the smaller river to connect the two sides, and life in the city returned to normal.

An area around the blight is chopped down, and the infected forest is burnt to the ground. When the fire dies, after burning for days, nothing is left but charcoal, the husks of tree trunks, and the strangely unaffected tower. Gusts of wind carry the ashes into the nearby outpost.

charcoal burner huts are set up at the side of the forest of which more gets cut down, so the demand for charcoal can be met.
In the meanwhile, ash from the burnt down forest settles in the water supply of the western village, colouring it curiously. Similar things happen at the side of the lake.
some say a new building was seen at the site of the plague, while others insist it had always been there.
