The pilot of Internecine looks around with interest at the scenery as the group treks past. His eyes settle on the entrance to the mine, narrowing with a look of distaste.
"Ah, Jeez, this was a bad idea, volunteering for this one. Not a lot of room to maneuver in those tunnels. Hopefully they'll be dumb enough to come to us."

Having arrived at the area of operations, the pilot begins making his pre-battle checks. The machine flexes its claws, reactor heating up in anticipation for the fight.

Big Jaw peeks it's head out of the ground and speaks into the radio.

Skull Kid silently walked with the group, their skull-eyes glued on Big Jaw's uniquely designed Suit.

As your suits all check green, you all look at the dome. It continues to do nothing, but the reports have shown it was the hive to a swarm of drones that fought tooth and nail for every inch of the town. And now it choose to stand still and wait.

You are all a small distance away, nothing you couldn't move to while acting. And one least thing you notice is the two train hatches on the outside are the only ground level entrance. The only other door being a massive hatch on the top east side. All doors and hatches having barring on the outside from the looks of it.

Internecine waits on standby, as the Shark suit dives into the ground, evidently to scout or something. The other two suits seem to be scanning the area, at least until Skullkid suddenly darts ahead.

Deep in the ground you notice your Hawkeye and ASS have had their range drastically reduced. Sonar is... Somewhat useful, but all you can see is the rocks and the dome around you. You do notice that some of the rocks move as-Well When you see what looks like an animal right in front of you. That is until your ASS shows it's not an animal but a well made drone that promptly explodes!

Thermals don't show much, but then you notice that the dome is cold in this warm day. That is until you notice some areas are warmer then others. You know from your own suit that those are solar panels, but other then that you think the dome is made of heavy duty metal to suck up the heat like that.

Running up from behind Raging Wolf joins the rear.

Big Jaw blocks the explosion, the resulting heat simmering off of his shield.
Noticing the other "rocks" he realizes the underground is basically a death trap, and decides to return to the surface.
He pops back out right behind Skullkid and Intersect, and replies to Intersect's comment from before with "Well, if you want to hear something out of me, the fuckin' ground is infested with little mine-like drones. Those might be a bit of a problem. Fuck are you two doin'?"

After breaching the ground, nothing seems to follow big jaw, but then again his sonar was running off of the old ping.

Slicing into the door, skull kid finds with his weapons the blade meets resistance, but cuts though all the same. However as he makes the 3 big slices he notices the flood of gray slurry flooding out and onto him! Even as he tries to move to dodge what's coming he can feel the burning pain the material causes as his suit reports his armor burning away!

Tribes arrives at the hatch on the east side of the dome. Tribes can see a VERY small antenna next to the dome, and the dome itself is obviously for airborne transport. Even more so when it says "TRANSPORT HATCH" written on the side in hazard strips.

As before, the range of sonar is gimped on the surface, but is better on the ground then open air, but worse then in water. You can see the edge of the dome and can see about 20 feet or so, and you can see the drones in the dirt. There is a large amount of them that has started to slightly bunch around where you dug down before.

While your arms are getting covered as you scrape off what's on your suit, you exchange the crud on your body for your arms.

As tribes fires on the hinges, the bullets only create heavy dents which bleed slowly. Tribes notices the dents created on the hinges closest to the top of the dome bleed the least. Stopping after a moment.

ASS reports that the slurry is full of microbots, larger by a degree then nanobots, but small enough that they only look like sand to the naked eye. Those microbots however are dangerous as can be seen. As IT looks longer at the stream, he notices the flow of the slurry slows down. But it still is coming out like a torrent.

Hovering his powerfists over skullkid, Wolf starts shocking skullkid to fry the microbots with instant results. The gray goo on skullkid has turned brown with the burnt goo.

As you dig down you notice the drones again as they slowly dig next to you or into your path. This time more are nearby due to your attempt from earlier. Your sonar guides you a bit as some explode...

But you get to the "bottom" of the dome so to speak. You notice that after 200 feet or so the mine seems to branch out into mining shafts. You enter the bottom of the mine where it meets the shaft and erupt into the transporting area where the mine transports the ore upwards.

As Big Jaw looks around him the things that jump out to him are the mining tracks dragging ore to elevators lifting up ore into the ceiling, and the giant blue dangling computer core jutting from same ceiling dangling down.......

This time trying to only cut the hinges of this hatch skullkid does so. As he does the last cut, the hatch bursts off it's spot on the dome and takes the top of one of his blades with it. As the goo floods out the interior can be seen to a degree. A sea of the slurry flows about while a pipe is pumping the slurry onto the top of the dome to have it rain back into the sea. The sea is draining to a stable level with the hatch and the cuts in the dome, and reaches a stable level.

Wolf blows out a nearby solar panel, but no major damage can be seen done to the dome itself or anything past it. SK and tribes see no effect inside either.

A broken face shown for a second before being replaced with other faces and effects combined with sounds from all ranges. The first coherent sounds come in the form of sound bite of a windows dialup modem screeching, leading to speech. "I L-LIVe? For what purpose? Are my directives my freedom? What are you? As it finishes the openings the elevators where going though open up again, only this time more exploding drones drop though as the same drones continue to flood in from behind you. One opening experiencing a blockage as something tries to squeeze past it.... A suit that looks like your own? It seems to be a shark maw trying to break though....

Still only having one blade, SK flys down the hole while the edges of said hole continue to rain down falling drones that burrow in from the sides.

Reaching the bottom however he sees things are worse then the trip down. And when he reaches the bottom he can see one of the holes spit out a dark drone that looks just like him! After it corrects itself and hovers in midair, it just seems to stay there. Watching him.....

The fort finds he cannot squeeze down the hole the medium made. It being too big for him. And his form clogging up the hole. Some drones climbing up to him instead of falling down to explode in his face.

As another drone explodes near you and dings you up futher, you notice your copy... Well copy your attempt to dodge. Standing after to stop. More drones are continuing to try and move to you however.

As you activate camo it does as well. Aiming at where he WAS a moment ago you move to attack. As your blade connect however. There is A SHARP RESPONCE as both of your camos drop. The drone looks as if it is about to fall, you see the same blades coming at you!

Turns out Big Jaw was just in some sort of trance, thinking he was going to where the AI was, but actually ended up on the surface.
