SWAT QUEST - Prologue

A disturbance has been reported from a small neighborhood out in the suburbs. A Florida Man was seen covering himself in mustard and throwing hot dogs at moving cars. Local residents who phoned in the report were able to recognize the man and give his name and address.

A 2-Man patrol is being sent to investigate the report, pulling up at the curb and exiting the vehicle.

How should the team approach?

Voting will be majority driven, rolls and mechanics will be explained as approached. This is a prologue with ordinary officers on an ordinary call to ease you into the system and if successful, the proper full campaign will commence.

Your roll is element lead, where you will be controlling the entire team/squad as a whole. As well as freeform management, pieces of the phoenix command system will be used in the background.

Element stacks up at the front, one on the door, and one at the window who preps a flashbang and chucks it through the already open front window, landing into what appears to be a shitty little living room with a Couch, TV, PS4 and no games in sight.

After a loud bang, both officers shout "OPEN UP, WE HAVE A WARRANT!". While that wasn't necessarily true, sometimes shock and awe is an effective tool. Upon inspection through the front window, there's nothing out of the ordinary in the room aside from a smoldering spot on the couch. Some movement can be heard scrambling through another part of the house, inside.

Element shifts positions and gets ready to go through the front door. A simple knob test shows the door to be unlocked. Both members grip their m1911's and fling the door open, quickly bursting into the living room and scanning to see not much else than previously detected. A kitchen is further back into the room, empty.

Two doors are visible and untested, with no current idea of what is behind each one. The shuffling around that was heard earlier is not detected at all at this point.

Well if you have the equipment, you might as well use it, right? You certainly won't ever get sued. Element stacks up on Door 1, one man placing a breaching charge, while the other preps a flashbang. With another loud bang the door blasts inwards, into what turns out to be a bathroom, shattering the mirror and sending some chunks of porcelain across the room. Still no perp though. The tossed in flashbang goes off a few seconds later and shatters the poorly made toilet, shitty water starting to run all over.

Through the thin walls you can hear someone start screaming all sorts of obscenities and praying for Jesus, Someone is certainly in the other room.

One member of the element trails back outside through the front door and wraps around the back. Placing a breaching charge on the right wall and coming around the back to what appears to be a large glass sliding door, holding at the corner and staying out of sight while prepping a flashbang. From the very slight angle he can see, there appears to be a dresser at the left end of the room.

The other member readies up at the bedroom door. Maybe this is an overzealous use of equipment, but, we are talking about the report of a Florida Man doused in mustard. God knows what's behind that door.

Outside Man sets the charge off, while simultaneously smashing the sliding door window and tossing a flashbang inside. A loud bang and wooden crunch is head as the room fills with a bright flash and then dust, soon followed by an even brighter flash, with dust blowing out of the sliding door window. Time to storm the room. Inside Man kicks in the door and both members enter after the flashbang goes off.

Inside is indeed the mysterious mustard man, still naked and covered in mustard, as well as dust and debris now, sticking to his form. What appears to be a ring of mustard surrounds his feet as he has trouble trying to stay in that circle, clearly tweaking the fuck out, eyes wide open while he points the mustard bottle at one officer, and then the other, constantly shifting between the two.

Officers have guns drawn, aiming at mustard man who appears to want to contend with his mustard.

I originally intended this to start as a 2 man regular police man thing to ease into the system and keep it more simple, but did not make that clear enough, so now it's a 2 man Swat team storming this guy's house.

Once the real missions start, 5-10 man teams will be managed.

Element starts to scream at the man to drop the mustard bottle and get on the ground. Mustard man only continues to look around in a tweaky manner and even squirts a little mustard at the closest officer.

After getting mustard on his vest, the officer closest to mustard man takes out his can of pepper spray and instantly starts hosing the guy all over his face.

Mustard Man starts screaming and writhing in agony as he drops to the floor, smearing mustard all over and into the shag carpet, now he's spicy mustard man. While he continues to scream and writhe, you hear a heavy knock on the front door, shortly followed by a shout: "HEY TITO YOU DEAD MOTHER FUCKER! WHERE'S MY FUCKING MONEY?"

You'd think a patrol car parked on the front curb might dissuade such an event, however, you arrived in an unmarked vehicle, and it sounds like some very abrasive company has arrived.

Element pauses and shifts their attention to the apparent new comer at the front door. The officer across the bed looking at the other officer who is almost entirely yellow and dripping, the mustard bottle having exploded at him.

Spicy Mustard Man, still writhing and screaming receives a few cracks to his body from yellow officer's baton, screaming more as you hear some bones crack under the force, before he's eventually zip tied and brought up to standing. Clean Officer heads out the door, gun in hand and ready to greet the newcomer, yellow officer pushing spicy mustard man behind him.

The newcomer at the door already has a shitty revolver in hand, by his side while he suddenly stops shouting for Tito, who is spicy mustard man, and stares back at clean officer, eyes widening and freezing for a second while clean officer has his M1911 pointed right at him. Suddenly he shouts, "COPS!", starting to raise his revolver hand.

Clean Officer squeezes that trigger and lets a round loose. The .45 round punches the man right into his pelvis, shattering it while he just drops with a shriek before passing out in pain.

The window in the living room then shatters as another armed man sticks a revolver through and starts blasting it at the officers, letting loose 3 rounds that all miss in the hurried panic.

You hear a loud thud back in the bedroom and someone shouting "FUCK!", seemingly someone else came through the back and tripped on something.

Procedure?

Mustard Officer turns to fire at the window man while trying to raise dispatch. The first two shots miss, while the third shot connects with his upper arm, ripping through the flesh and turning the man back away from the window with a yelp of pain. You can hear him screaming out, "JESUS FUCK THEY SHOT ME!"

Clean officer drags Tito the Spicy Mustard Man back into the bathroom with a flashbang prepped, and tosses it over the Mustard Officer as he follows back into the bathroom.

A loud bang blasts through the living room and then silence, save for Tito shivering in both fear and agony. It's decided to wait on the dispatch call to not break the awry silence and alert anyone.

Triple breaching charge the wall to the bedroom, bust through the glass, cover the door, have our partner call in backup from dispatch.

Clean officer picks up a mirror shard and uses it to start looking around, checking and clearing the bed room as the simplest thing to check, turning the mirror around to start scanning the living room, all clear as well. You can hear some car doors slamming and a truck engine revving up as it peels back out of the drive way and rips off down the street.

Other than that, silence. Clean officer starts to move forward and clear the area up again, while mustard officer calls in to dispatch and gets some backup on the way.

It's apparent the remaining 1(2?) of the 3? attackers got back into their truck and fucked right off. You have successfully apprehended Tito, the Spicy Mustard Man, and 1 of the 3 attackers who, despite having his pelvis mashed up, did not suffer life threatening wounds.

Forensics, and Interrogation will give us some names and addresses of the assailants who left in the truck, and they will be our next targets, and considering the events that played out, the overzealous use of equipment and destruction of property will not be penalized or seen as unnecessary.
I would like to thank you guys for participating, as this is the end of the demo. This has been my first quest and I have a lot of things I need to work on and make note of to speed and smooth some things out. I will also build some new systems so when we do start, you will be able to pick loadouts and other things like that. I apologize if it was a tad too short.

I will be starting CH. 1 most probably, on THURS at 330 PM EST. Things will be more full fledged and involved, where as this was very freeform and loosely held.
