[PACYOA] Operation "Seadogs 2" Part 3

The battle is close to seeing a victor of either side. 10 strike witch look-a-like light suits, all of animals, planes, and colors of varying origin battle varying suits all united by their faction loyalty. Some back out, some replace the focus of their allies attackers, but all the same, everybody is in trouble. As now some of the SWes seem to duck back into the blimp and return out. Carrying new weapons, looking less hurt, or otherwise changing to attack.

The trading of blows continues in the command deck. The car vs the fast tank. The action reaches a high point as the SW and Drifter trade blows. A pile driver hits drifter as the shockwave hits her, both slowing down as both take a nasty hit. Both now entering a final stage. The pile driver entering cooldown, but now the weapon being used to beat down the car.

As the blows are shrugged off red fires without issue. The carbine hitting the SW with limited effect, but noticed scarring. You notice the strike witches are attacking you less and moving to others.

Taking aim, only one weapon reports errors on target confirm. The other two shots connecting on the "slowed" down SW. The SW turning being downed with two massive holes in the pilot. And her angry partner having no effect with her swings.

Noticing a nasty hit about to happen, the fort decided to spin around to deflect a shot. As it did so however the shot was deflected into the blades path of one of the SW! However there is a massive ERROR message over his hud as the command virus is being fed back into your suit! You where able to shut the program off before anything took effect, but with no effect either way.

Sieging down with newfound armor, bas tries to do what he can with what effects he knows of. Throwing things hard. Actually connecting a few power poles, While none are downed, one was actually pinned for a moment before shakingly flying back.

The grin on the pilot of Intersect Thunderbolt's face died as a wireframe overlay of the mech on his HUD began to flash yellow in several places. The two Strike Witches combined efforts were beginning to chip through his armor.
"You're lucky we're supposed to take you alive! Surrender before than changes," the pilot snarls, opting to place more distance between himself and his attackers. That the various conventional war machines piloted by humans had been fair game when these Witches had been given a strict no-kill order was questionable in of itself, but it wasn't a habit of his to fight the instructions team leaders unless they earned it.
"And about that," he mutters, tabbing over to Vanguard through the command uplink.
"Vanguard, Intersect," the pilot's eyes glance over the sortie roster on his HUD, noting the number of names flashing red, "I hope whatever plan you have is about to close, because we're getting fragged out here. "
As if to punctuate the point, one of the Witch's rifles leaves another scorch mark on the hull of his suit.
"Can't promise that nonlethal order is going to stand, Vanguard. Request change of orders."

A black light suit creeps to the edge of the shrubbery it is hiding in, poking a rail rifle through the cover.

"Black Prince to Command, I am in position east of AO. Providing fire support."

He flips tinkers with a rangefinder, passing from target to target before taking aim at the closest visible SW.

"Lets hunt us some witches."

The strike heavy yells right back, her fired artillery cannon putting another hazard in the glass. As you trade blows she smacks you with the spent pile driver, the only force getting though your armor being her first strength as the repaired armor crumples again. As the EMP nade and the freon hit however she visually sags and slows. You hear the clunk of the auto loader of her pile driver put in another shot, only needing a turn to settle and ready the piston. Everything seems close as you two race around and around the command center.

Dodging the swipes of the melee SW you notice the autocannon of the other rake your sides. The pinging of her rounds doing little. However she breaks off halfway and races to duck into the blimp for just a moment. When she returns she holds an RPG and a mag container. It looks like she is adjusting for your armor!

It's getting close for bas. As the others at this point are either deep themselves, or just holding off the SW. Bas himself having a deep amount of trouble. Dodging the swipes of one, and the bullets of the other, bas is bleeding enough for all. In a moment of desperation he does a thunderclap. Thinking they wouldn't be stupid enough to be the fly. Only when his fists part does he see a stunned and non-functioning suit falling the 10 feet onto the deck.

Running low on melee strike witches at this point, it seems an RPG stike witch is replacing the now-being-dragged-off-by-a-drone SW.

There seems to be a moment when all strike witches seem to be on their comms, and in a moment you hear why. "AC! HANSE!" Airdid's voice blares over your radio. "I WILL NOT SURRENDER MY PRIZE! You will fall to my witches! And Africa will be powerful once again, because my nation IS AFRICA!"

You all hear as a jet engine spurs in the back of the blimp. The separator removing to show a still being built massive engine.

"You CANNOT cripple skulls and bones! For they are already in you!"

With nothing but static coming from the other end of the line, and the Witches adjustibg their tactics to account forhis heavy armor, the pilot decided to take matters into his own hands.

"Gave ya' fair warning," he mutters, closing his eyes.

“And now-”

The red machine, its hull pattered with impact markings from the minor attacks it had weathered thus far, halted its backpedaling, throwing its arms out wide. The motion carried accelerant down the length of its talons, which glowed orange before bursting into flame as the blades channeled the heat of the suit’s own reactor into their cores. There was a sharp whine as ports just behind the mech's shoulders opened and thrusters wound up before releasing with percussive force, throwing the machine forward with a suddenness that blackened the edges of it's pilot's rapidly tunneling vision. The man grits his teeth before letting out a roar as the influence of the berserker nanomachines descend like a red veil over his senses. The sound leaves the suit's external speakers, augmented by the howl of ramjets as the machine's air speed picks up to overtake the words almost as soon as they are spoken.

"-I'll kill ALL OF YOU!"

Taking cover and taking a shot on a hovering SW. The SW flies as the trigger is pulled. Making the rail shot worthless as it sails over all. The SWs ignoring the shock wave and reading for another go at those at the blimp.

The Blimp heaves as the flying red tank slams into it, next to the large Purple Monster Eater.

Basilius's screen lights up with a DT Program, as well as a request for a Commander Link, as the smaller suit turns on his 'baggage'...

In a split moment the two speeding (and one drifting) suits meet, trading blows one more time. As close range EMP nades get thrown as the stinger fires. The striker reeling for might be her final punch. A last second change in drift cannot dodge the stinger round as is smacks into the windshield. Exploding and sending the suit into critical condition. The suit starting to slow as the suit tries to stabilize. That moment however is when the fist comes down. Crushing half of the weakened suit as the grenades go off. Both suits crash and skid to a stop. Difter being broken, and the heavy EMPed and trying to restart. The SW scowls as difter gets out of his broken suit. Knowing he has a turn before the heavy can move.

As you start to air burn around your blades the shining SW engages you. It soon see that as a mistake as you sonic boom to it. Making it reel you almost instantly scrap it. The SW only getting a single cut before it goes wild trying to dodge and parry you. Your speed and his making the RPG SW almost stopping to find a moment to fire. Now just trying to lead where you MIGHT be.

As your PB blocks one RPG in place the other RPG is easy enough to dodge compared to a bullet. Lining up a shot as you duck into the open engine room you clip a SW. She doesn't fall, but she is all kinds of hurt. Bleeding and looking hurt as hell. They still follow you and try to fire at you however!

Hitting what at this range is blurs is hard. Like really hard. And your miss is something you'll only get a light chewing out from command about when you get home.

As you fire it's hard to keep track of what can be hit or not. So you fire at one of the them. It was one that was bothering an distracted ally and keeping them away. After the cross fires and the round hits. All that is lift is falling limbs and leg thrusters and go wildly off into the air.

The Red Medium keeps is back to the much larger Basilius, Shooting at anything that tries to follow us inside the Blimp.

The pilot shouts a wordless cry of fury as the suit's claws swipe through the air at the Witches, its frantic movements filled with a feral desperation to rip and tear. Boosters flare again, throwing the fragile human inside the machine around as the suit makes pinpoint turns to try and rear on its targets at breakneck speed.

This shot is better. This one actually might hit! It might-oh wait it just missed. This time however the target turns to look in your direction before dodging another close shot from zulu.

RPGs are still rather easy to dodge. Like seriously. You think that the SWes sucked at using them or something. At this point you look at the jet cone of what might be the final option of movement for the blimp. It speeding up to head inland. And notice there is only but a wall and machine parts. You punch into the wall and hear whining from the parts instantly. Digging your hands in you start to pull out gas, oil, and parts like stuffing from your sisters teddy bear. When you actually see the internals of the engine you just punch it. And when you pull your fist out you see though the hole the second command section of the ship next to the now broken and flaming engine. Airdid looking at you like a sweaty child who has his hand in the cookie jar. "AC dogs! I WILL become a pirate lord! And I WILL show the world that Airdid is the warlord who can bring Africa together!" Hitting a button to pop up an escape pod.

Going to the still (but barely) intact consoles that you saw the crew using, you press the button Airdid slammed. To your surprise it works and in a second the elevator comes up out of the floor. The heavy restarts though and as you race for the elevator she starts up her leg wheels!

As you fire on the fast blurs you notice one thing, those RPGs hurt. BIG TIME. As you plug up the hole with your body the rockets slam against your armor. Sure the explosion doesn't hurt, but the AP from the systems does. You take out one of the only SW bothering other suits as more limbs fall, and can't help but think this is like when you used to hunt birds with 50 cals when off duty. However by blocking the hole now the 2 SW bas are now on you!

As you engage the melee SW you notice the other flank you. Her RPG ready to bear. Letting it loose as it hits you in the back! However you grab the melee strike witch in your burning claw. The body going limb as the talon cuts deep. When it does so and the suit reads as dead you throw it away. Noticing it doesn't get replaced by allies.

Swearing, BP pulls back the bolt again and chambers the last round in the clip. Marking the best possible target and firing at it, quickly dropping the empty clip out and sliding another one lined up on the ground into the gun.

It all take in what seems like a moment as you race into the elevator and slam the down button as the heavy picks up speed. The doors slam as the heavy is but fee away. As the elevator drops you see the pile driver punch though right above your head. As the elevator top rips clean it still goes down. When it clears the floor you can see the screaming SW face for a second before the hatch the elevator came out of closes.

As you try to dodge you notice that your attempts to use M.F.E work. Making it so their rounds are so slow that you almost couldn't either deflect or dodge them. The strike witches look concerned as they know what's going on. Their shots can't connect, and your team is hurting them and their allies. They reload and fire all the same, but start to distance themselves.

You notice that with red blocking for you that your pb only worked to helped him. That hope for death seems to have been dashed as the RPGs are little more then rocks right now. That's when you notice that Airdid makes a rush for the escape pod and you just slam a hand down on it. Crushing it. He turns to you as you raise your other fist. "No! No! It wasn't supposed to be like this! This is not what I was promised! AIRDID DOES NOT DI-!" Was all he could finish before the fist came down. The radio on his desk broadcasting his last "speech" before a squelch. The effects are instant as the strike witches break and back off. Those that don't rush into the blimp to grab their downed or dead allies only fire to give time for those to do so, but since there was only 5 SW alive they could only have grabbed the ones in the blimp. The heavy in the blimp crashes out of the command tower to be grabbed and carried by two SWes. The group attempting to lower and fly along ground cover.

>They are fast enough to escape in one turn.

Bas notices a hidden elevator open up as drifter falls out of it. He is able to move, but his confusion is evident.

And the lowered numbers of the SW is clear as Black prince hits for the first time. The SW is clear, but injury is evident as seems to "limp" in the air.

Already bloodied from the last shock wave, this one knocked the pilot out before the talons gabbed hold. Leaving a broken suit in his hand.

>Mission complete. The blimp is damaged to almost inusability, but it might see service someday if it's worth it.

>Command was, of course, furious about the death of Airdid instead of the whole point of capturing him. However since it was bas that broke orders and everyone else will not suffer.
>The blimp is almost completely totaled in it's current state. Sure the front end is almost untouched, but the engines are broken beyond belief. It will take weeks or months to fix it.

Oh and you can still act, this is the summery of the epilogue so far.

BP marks the direction, bearing, and estimated landing location of the remaining SW as he tracks them at a safe distance. Sending the information over to HQ until they land before heading back towards the members of his team for extract.

Bas said as he looked at the fallen Drifter, and then shrugged, figuring things would solve themselves one way or another.

The pilot inside Intersect Thunderbolt stares through the suit's HUD at the captive in it's claws, now wracked with hesitation for all its frantic speed moments earlier. The sheer heat of the suit's weapons alone would probably be enough to kill the girl without her own suit active, but the burning talon's emergency cooling systems activated conveniently simultaneous to grabbing her, and the flames died quickly to prevent further damage to the machine, leaving him with an unexpected prisoner.

The berserker nanites ceased activity as well, and the red haze receded like a riptide, leaving the man drained, his once raging world now silent save for the damage reports streaming in from his suit's AI and the orders to return to base. The damage results were more extensive than he'd expected. He'd held back for too long.

The pilot gives a tired nod. The mission had concluded. He'd accomplished his given objectives, and the main target was dead. Not an ideal outcome, but that was out of his hands and responsibility. Not one for tracking, he opened the largely unused team channel.

"Intersect Thunderbolt, returning to base. Tell Vanguard I have his precious prisoner."
