Close to you to the East is a small shrine to Oreel the god of travelers . To the West another sacred building to Flijra goddess of archery. Where to ?

The shrine is round with several domed spires about 20 feet at the highest. In the back there stands an altar to Oreel his long hair and bushy beard clearly identifieable on the ageless wooden statue. Burned incense sticks have long consumed themselves maybe since your now defunct king has been here 70 years ago. A stack of unused incense sticks lies at your right. The temple seems full of dark nooks and cranies (you have a flint in your pocket)

You make a torch using some old drapes and a small branch from one of the trees growing against the shrine. you see various items pots and fabrics from what seems to be every region you have ever (and never) heard of ...

Look for some weapons

Searching around, you find no weapons , just wares and undurnt incence and a weird wooden mask

As you light the incense stange runes which you hadn t noticed, or may have never been there at all, emit a strange glow. The symbols aren't entirely foreign to you, you once got caught playing with small bones on which they some were carved, in the tent of the shaman priests back in camp when you were still a child .
You are able to decipher such ideograms as those meaning North, Courage , Power and Freedom but not much else.

As the mask settles over you face you start getting visions. Patterns taking the shapes of a roaring feral beast, then of a glowing path among tan mountains, the writing on the wall suddenty making sense:

"From West to East, North to South, those who seek Power must be wary of not loosing their Freedom ."

As you leave the building still in a haze you realize hours must have passed and that the incense burning at the altar is all but spent and more than is may had seemed at first.

It is high noon and the blowing wind is reinforces the feeling of immensity and emptyness in front of you . The goddess of archery's temple at your right, a stone circle bout 5 miles ahead a lightly wooded area to the east of it, and further the myriad of colonades and spires of constructions whose sizes are hard to discern. You ponder over what to do next ...
