>thread topic is on-topic
>most of the thread is fine
>one or a few retards start going off topic
>mod comes by
>does he delete and ban the offending shitposters?
>naw, just delete the whole thread
I never understood this. I mean, if I were a shitposter why wouldn't I just go in and derail random threads for lulz?

Please provide examples of this where you have definitive proof of this actually happening
>>440685
That's not reasonable given the nature of the site. You sound like one of those skepdick fags who literally can't talk about anything unless there's 5,000 research papers on it.
>>440688
All I'm asking for is one example of this happening. If you are incapable of providing a single example of this then you are simply speculating.
>>440685
I never really saved an examples, but I've had and seen it happen many times mainly on /v/.
Time and time again I make or join an on topic thread on /v/ but one or a few retards start pushing /pol/ or console war shit and instead of deleting that shit the whole thread gets shitcanned.
>>440691
I'm not OP but I've seen this happen before I just didn't bother to screencap it. Does that mean it didn't happen?
It happens on /v/ a lot, the last one I remember people were having a thread about halo lore and then like 70 posts in people started shitposting and they just pruned the whole thread.
>>440695
Seconding this. Not OP but I've seen this happen on /pol/ quite a bit.
>>440683
Can confirm that I've seen both.
Legitimate Nintendo/Sony/Xbox/PC threads getting the ax even though there isn't much shitposting except a handful of posts.
I've also rarely seen mods actually delete shitposters instead of the entire thread but each time it was for weeb shit games.
Seems like mods have a bias.
You don't even need to screencap it, just fucking link to the archived thread on any relevant archive site.
I still don't see any evidence fellas
>>440709
most of the archives were cucked
I wonder if these threads OP is talking about were actually on-topic, or if they were "on-topic". I can't remember the last time I saw a thread get unjustly deleted. I see far more threads that should be deleted, get archived.
>>440719
there is still an archive for practically any board, look harder
