Those anti sliding measures would probably only destroy most smaller boards like /po/ in the process. You might as well remove every page but page one on them. A return of old thread pruning could probably be a good thing however

Fast boards should too. It should be impossible to wipe any board before a mod can respond. Fast boards could get more pages to accommodate this. Perhaps all boards could get more pages, but with increased cooldowns for bumping from the extra pages to prevent abuse.

You mean pruning by age? That would just make the problem worse.
We have the internal archive, and it should be possible to automatically restore threads from there when spam threads are deleted.
