As far as I've always known, the Avatarfagging rule is to prevent people to derail threads with their persona (imagine being in some /g/ thread and suddenly everyone's talking about some Akkoposter).
So in that sense, making new threads with an avatar (as long as not spamming) should be OK.
So, are new threads avatarfagging? After all, you're not derailing anything then.
Secondly, doesn't constantly using a trip work the same way? It's become especially obnoxious (and derailing!!) as of late with the sudden rise of people using vanity tripcodes.
So, to recap:
1) Is it avatarfagging if you aren't derailing threads, because you only make new ones?
2) Is tripfagging banned under rule 13? They are derailing threads!
How can I make this thread as not fun as possible?
Tripfags can be easily filtered and their trips banned, avatarfags can't, unless you're willing to filter the images they post.
Sure, but I think most people dislike avatarfagging because its arrogant that someone thinks they deserve a persona on an anonymous imageboard. True that you can do that tripfagging which isn't against the rules, but then again most of 4chan hates tripfags as well.

Frogposting
But then the stupidity in posting frogs itself creates amusement, so furry posting?
Can we finally establish that frogposting is a type of avatarfagging?

It's like you enjoy creating controversy or something.

I think you need to take a less "carpet bombing" mentality and be more precise.
Who are the kind of people who would have fun on a thread like this?

>implying a bunch of upset redditors would be a bad thing
I truly believe that this is the greatest thing ever made by human hand
