I know the whole internet hate machine thing killed 4chan but, killing the movement didn't stop the decline.
Good thread.

This
i think stickam's creation changed the website the most. once stickam came out /b/ just entirely turned into camwhoring shit instead of random and then the rest of the website devolved into it as well. it took moot like what 10 years to finally figure out he had to make a /soc/ board to contain it but the damage was already done and the culture set
Manually bumping a thread actually about 4chan.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stickam
it was a webcam streaming website. when it came out /b/ was basically nothing but atheist checkmate, circumcision threads, and different women posting their stickam. before it came out /b/ was random but once it came out /b/ was nothing but /soc/ camwhore crap
