which is precisely the problem. despite how he worded it OP was asking for peoples opinions on beach episodes. by phrasing it in such a way it takes focus away from the subject, in this case beach episodes, and makes it about the the board's opinion on that subject. this causes arguments because people have different opinions on what the boards opinion on something is

I meant in future. I often see threads derailed on most boards due to poor word choice in the OP. I want to see more good/interesting threads stay on topic and I felt like this would be a good opportunity to explain how poor phrasing can lead to a thread getting to derailed, which ironically is what ended up happening here
