What is the minimum number of janitors every board should have?

They're volunteers, so I say there should be at least two. Ideally, there would be three with hours of availability that don't overlap.

three hundred billion
For a board as fast as /a/ or /v/? 5 or 6 during the day. 3 on even during the dead of night. So maybe like 10 in total.

Maybe a better question should be what is the minimum amount of janitors for any given time?

It would still depend on the popularity of the board at night. For /v/, at least 3 janitors that are serious. Someone needs to be checking every 10 minutes on aboard like that. It's a good thing a /v/ janitor doesn't have to think too hard about what should and shouldn't be on the board. At least I HOPE the /v/ janitors don't have a hard time figuring out what garbage is.

Do you think smaller boards share 1 janitor? It's hard to even guess the number on small boards but I can't imagine ones like /po/ and /p/ have that many.

Like one janitor for two boards? Maybe, but I doubt it. I'm pretty sure many of the smallest boards don't even have one janitor, and the mods have to look at a the reports themselves. This website either has a very low number of active janitors and mods, or the janitors and mods have no idea what they're doing/have no sense of direction. I couldn't say which is closer to the truth.
