How do you make up a good original username?
Look deep into your heart.
If it doesn't come out original, then you weren't original to begin with and you must accept your fate.
like this
Take what you like, and be retardedly literal with it. ie Bonesaw, PewDiePie, the second of which is just an onomatopoeia inspired by a character from South Park IIRC
I've never liked usernames personally; I usually just use my real name, or some functional description if I need to be anonymous.

OP here. I might plan to change my username, email and old accounts because lately I've become concerned about my privacy. Unfortunately, I still use Windows 10, so only semi-privacy can be achieved, even if I start anew, for now. I've used my current username for over ten years now and I've grown attached to it, yet at the same time I started loathing it because I don't like the name anymore, how it's pronounced, what it implies, etc. You see, there are several reasons why I'd like to change it.
I just now realized what a big impact this could be and many questions arose this week-- What about the people I'm in contact with now, should I inform them that I may change it? Should I keep my old accounts around, as a sort of "legacy", or should they all be deleted? Allow there to be some links to my new possible persona or not? Will a simply name change do? Decisionmaking doesn't become easier since a lot of people know me by my current handle by now. I just don't know what to do at this point.

Is your real name original?
Name changes are a thing people do lately.

Personally I've always used rather stoic names inspired by if not literally taken from players I've respected in other games. For example, a youtuber who made SSX videos of a specific game in the series but proceeded to delete his channel eventually. I literally just used his name in an MMO and it accepted.
Besides that I misspell words I like, but not in a pretentious fashion like some fags walking around with "inkingly" to pretend to have a one syllable name or similar. Sometimes a broken sentence like "drinkbleed". Stupid shit, and if you're literally roleplaying a character everyone has essentially My Little Pony names, intentionally or not.
