/qa/ is a nice, small community of older users (age and/or length on 4chan) that want to take it easy and get away from the angst and outrage-focused underage population that defines modern 4chan, while still physically remaining on 4chan itself.
There's also a small group of people that have dedicated themselves to trying to disrupt this, but they're best ignored.
