The Evangelion of cute girls anime is - without a doubt - Yuyushiki. The depth of the character interactions, the tremendous score and its haunting themes as well as the countless hours of work spent on every single frame of animation is a true tour-de-force in its genre. Every other piece of art, in any of the arts, just pales in comparison. A true Masterpiece.

I never got father than the like episode six, but the first episode was really good in my opinion. If they had told more of the story through Yuki's perspective before revealing that she was just imagining things then it would of had a greater emotional impact IMO. Hell, didn't Yuki have a revaltion that it was all in her head one of the episodes? That's when it should've been revealed that the school and students were in her imagination.
