What is the oldest 4chan archive?
As far as I know, /a/ on yuki.la followed by /jp/ on warosu.

Anywhere I can find old posts/b/ from 2010-2012 those sites don't seem to archive /b/
>>1500541
/b/ archives have a history of imploding due to the whole cp thing. Most people refuse to archive it for that reason.
>>1500547
That's unfortunate, I was looking for a few old posts I made and couldn't find them in the moe archive
My brain......
>>1501959
May I have access?
>>1502669
Why?
Well, there's supposedly a /b/ archive held by a guy that archives the first few years, but after he said he was going to share it with archive.org or whatever he changed his mind. There's previous thread here on /qa/ that mentioned it recently; I'll have to find it, although it's obviously of no help to us.
There is archive.tinychan.org it's relatively new, but has posts from the start of the discussion boards in 2004

oh i always thought it was due to the speed
Does anyone have dates for when the archives started operating, as opposed to when their oldest data is?
warosu was there in 2011:

Oldest surviving /b/ data I know of is from 2013:

Classic Trev.

kys lmao

I'm not sure when it started, but easymodo was around before warosu. Can't remember if warosu started a little before or directly because of easymodo's death.
>>1505237
Warosu came after easymodo. Remember the warosu vs foolz shit?
Looks like this is the earliest mention of easymodo on /jp/ (at least which is shown on warosu) if anyone wanted to know.

Ah, I completely forgot about it until you brought it up. What I do remember is commenting on how much I liked how the text highlight color was pink.

Bump
Bump for OP's image if nothing else.
I wonder how many private scrapers there are for 4chan these days. Sometimes I think I should start personally archiving the threads I like.
>>1508774
You definitely should. Archives are known for going down.
>>1500524
I believe desuarchive holds some old archive.moe data, which has /a/ threads from 2008 in them. Before that Chanarchive held voted in data from all boards since 2006, but the owner disappeared and the drives got corrupted.
Archive team has a more comprehensive list on the archives

Are there any thread worth archiving these days?
>>1513844
Rarely.
It's a terrifying thought to begin with, that we became shakers and movers whose early shitposting has become something of sociological and cultural merit.
I want my old comfy 4chan back.
>>1514472
Spam bump detected.
>>1514737
Another one?
Bump bot, you are busy.
>>1500524
That thing is fucking ugly
I remember there being 4chanarchive, which only archived select threads, and people had to actively vote for stuff to be saved.

>bot-age
I would say I'm getting sick of this, but for some reason I'm not.
Please enjoy these crappy .gifs I made.

Ah, bot-age how unexpected, and by unexpected I mean completely expected.
