The boards that have them don't belong here in the first place so that says it all, doesn't it? I guess there's an exception for /qst/ but I don't actually know anything about that place.

I think the people who complain about IDs are the same kind of newfags who complain about tripcodes. Also, Hiro should add an avatar picture and user profile page feature already.

Pretty useful to keep track of conversation. If someone asks a question to a poster and another responds it can be confusing.
