Wait, what? I thought netscape dissolved two decades ago. I loved their 'loading' animation logo...

we all did
So AOL bought netscape huh.
You know they open sourced their browser, so it would be possible to take their source and attempt to update it to work with what websites are using currently.

I just want their meteor shower loading icon. I really can't remember anything about Netscape since it's been about 20 years since I touched it.
>>1492008
lol I just thought about this and I think the only reason we were so enthralled by that loading animation is that the websites all used to take forever to load because we were using friggin 56k modems. The animation would be active for less than a second on most websites now lol

Don't worry, websites are compensating for the increased speed with 10 megabyte Javascript libraries and streaming video ads.

Another note is that all of these fucking html and html5 video players lag a ton on playback when the video is buffering. Half the time one youtube, changing the setting from "auto" to any other setting somehow makes it play better.

you can still use flash player for youtube though

Used to have those issues up to 2 years ago, now everything just works.
I initially started using html5 version exactly because it didn't have that automatic quality thing
