How often do you save files from 4chan?

You should only save rare or interesting images.

I don't save anything, all the boards I go to are archived off-site.

I just download what i find interesting, and put everything in a folder title "Shitposting", hence my collection of 3000+ unorganized images.

In the last 3 years I've saved 50 GB of nothing but images from threads on imageboards.

Perhaps I am unusual, then. My images are semi-organised but I have around 90,000 on my computer right now, maybe twice that many on external hard drives, and there's been dozens of thousands I've lost over the years when my computer has fucked up. Admittedly, I've been around here a long time, but it's still an excessive amount. I'm a bit of a hoarder.

This is more like me. Don't know how much storage space it would be in total, but I suspect more than that because for me it's been well over three years.

I view most of pictures in browser but seldom save them, unless it's some infograph of historical value, useful in some way, or visually appealing.

I save almost everything, here's one I've never used until now.

Those archives don't last forever, though. Although they're doing a better job of backing up the data.

Maybe 3-5 images a day which is something like 10-15 hours. I don't organize them so it just gets worse and worse over time.

This. I think we should have learned our lesson from archive.moe. I save the images I want to keep because sometimes the archives have a hard time retrieving them for some reason and (call me paranoid) but I've even got a fair number of threads on archive.is in case any of the current archives go down.

It seems like people tend to go one way or the other - download a lot, or a little - which is interesting. Maybe it's self-selection bias from respondents to the thread, not sure.

I think I download at least some 15 images a day from bronswing 4chan.

I organize the ones on my computer but I have about fifteen thousand images on my phone, many of them saved from 4chan, and because I don't organize them I rarely look at or use any but the most recent.
