Once upon a time there was an email service that offered complete privacy. One day they mysteriously shut their own servers down.
Eventually it came out that the owner was not only told that he must reveal information on one of its users but that he would literally be held accountable under the law if he made that information public. His only option was to pull the plug.
Really tells you a lot about any websites currently still in operation today claiming to be above the law doesn't it?
There are only two kinds of sites on the internet
* Those with information people want badly enough (or content people want taken down badly enough) and who DO comply with those requests for information or takedowns
* and those sites which don't contain information anyone wants badly enough or to be taken down badly enough.
Anything else is a myth or a scam.
