But no, it doesn't fit on 4chan because it needs a small community. More than 3 people typing at once makes things very confusing.

people would do what i'm doing right now.

I do it once in a while, but I can't usually tolerate "live" boards for very long.
It's nerve-wracking and you can only go back about 5-10 letters, or maybe it's dependent on time (I can't remember).

No. Most liveboards only function because they have tiny communities. On 4chans scale it would be a clusterfuck

Though I wouldn't mind seeing a live /b/ for an april fools or something
