I used to torrent a lot of anime but I've been using XDCC lately because of a combination of firewall problems and wanting to watch stuff right away.
It's a time-honored tradition as old as time itself. One could say it's almost, timeless, as it were. Torrenting is fun and easy for the whole family.
Even the FBI phoneposts, waow

I think the problem with streaming is the websites, kissanime and other pirate streaming sites are shit because the subs are bad most of the time, the quality sucks (360p),the ads are aids(this is important) and the kissanime in the corner is gay, CR is okay and legal but the problem is the 480p quality I used to watch anime in 480p there, eventually I started torrenting newer anime and when I wanted to watch older anime w/o downloading because people don't seed old anime(not to mention nyaa dying) I just couldn't enjoy it,seeing all those pixels ruins muh inmersion, but people complaining about muh quality when streaming allows 720p+ are just retarded

I use rtorrent+rutorrent, but I wish there was something decent based on the other libtorrent because of it's fancier automanagement system.

>"ads are aids"
>not having a good adblocker and anti-antiadblocker in place
Are you the one who complains about the ads here on 4chan?
>>1448665
Yes I do. Anime, mostly.

I'm in a similar situation. I would probably stream if there was a streaming site that didn't look like it want's to install 52 different types of malware onto my computer whenever it gets the chance. Not to mention the players are always shit and have problems constantly, with the exception of crunchyroll. I just find it easier to torrent newer stuff and XDCC older stuff
