I dread this. After the 5 movies I've lost all faith in Geass.

I just know that something from them is going to come into play and make them mandatory to fully understand the story.

I don't see your logic.

One, the movies are okay. Just different and I can see why some folks find them boring. But "losing faith" over them is hyperbole.

Two, the Code Geass sequel is not going to be made by the folks who worked on the movies. Therefore, it's even less logical to tie them together in your head.

Three, it'll probably use very little information from them and explain it in another manner anyway.
