The first time I opened a stock trading account I bought $1000 worth of a "recommended stock" the brokerage was advertising, it turned out to be a solid stock instead of something that was just being advertised, got a 50% return in six months. Then I lost all my money on penny stocks.

I don't think I'd ever be able to day trade it's super stressful for the kind of personality I have.

Also I bought 50 btc in 2011 when they were still $20/each, two weeks later the price crashed to like $0.50 and I was going to scoop up a bunch more but everyone claimed BTC was finished so I didn't. But that's another story I guess.
