The re-entry would be a bitch. The introduction of heat shielding would weigh the aircraft down immensely, affecting the maneuverability and payload capacity. Plus, returning to the satellite would be incredibly expensive. It would be a rarely-used option for pin-point emergency response to strike a single target with a few bombs in a few minutes notice. Global Strike program and all.

At that point, the aircraft carrier is pointless, and wildly inefficient. Just put a single vehicle up there.
