my grandfather had Alzheimers for 6 years before he died. Last time we visited him he had that exact same look. Couldnt remember who the fuck we were , nor where he was.

It went from forgetting to close the front door when leaving , to being unable to drive his car , to masturbating in the kitchen while people are sitting in the next room , to not recognizing his grandchildren , to not recognizing his children , to not recognizing his wife , to screaming at a turned off TV , at which point he was sent to a hospital until he eventually forgot how to breath.

I wish I hadnt seen all of this. Kind of ruins the image I had of him. I was like 12 when this shit started. His death hit my grandmother quite hard , even if he was dead to all of us for a while.
