"Free press" is a lie and a double edged sword. If the government is doing good things to their people by imposing stricter rules and regulations, the press can incite a rebellion by implanting a false feeling of oppression into the minds of the people. They can come up with all sorts of trash, such as not multicultural enough, people of different sexual orientations are suffering, non crimes, and so on...

And the opposite can be said if the government is doing bad things to their people.

It's all about direction. The media has the power to "guide" the people. See how it's guiding Europe into a multicultural, pro-gay Muslim society? See how that hurts the native populations and disrupts the country systems that worked perfectly well before? It's brainwashing people that this is the future and that we should embrace it. This "free press" is nothing more than a fraud that's hurting the countries. Then again, the countries themselves are ruled by defective governments and are in the process of committing honorable seppuku.
