This means that you won't always get what you want, for example "best anime waifu" might end up with corry in the house some of the time, but this is straight up odd.

I don't know how to describe something like this other than pure shilling. That's all it is. Google shilling some sort of political agenda. Generally speaking, the frequency of the key words when picking web pages images to show "White couple" would appear quite frequently, with, well... Actual white couples.

This is straight up filtering. Even the "White couple" google search has many many stock photo's of race mixed couples, which is chill and all but obviously isn't what is implied by the search "white couple".

I think the issue is that "happy African-american couple" would be a more prominent tag than "happy white couple". Because a normal white couple would just be called "happy couple"
The "white" would come from the colour detection of google image recognition.
So the result returns happy african-american couples containing the colour white.
