DUde this sickens me because I am a beta bitch and I have been working on conversing.. and what better place to converse with women than on public transport. Now I can't even fucking do that. FUCK! THIS, GAY EARHT!
Its like the government wants me to be a beta bitch forever. I don't go bar hopping or anything. WHERE AM I SUPPOSE TO DATE WOMEN NOW GOVERMENT!? GIVE ME A FUCKING GIRLFRIEND!
>need to get off at next stop >train approaches stop >stand and prepare for my departure from the train >woman is in front of me >doors open, wait for her to leave before i begin to move >follow her up the stairs to get onto the street >she approaches the closest cop and tells him i got off at the same stop as her and have been following her to the street >get arrested
>>30102962 I usually step in and stop bullshit from happening on public transport. its usually drunks, that ill just punch them making them sit down, but whenever i see some hippy faggot trying to make a speech on the train ill just walk up to them and tell them to sit down and stop bothering people. they usually listen, one time some fagot refused. and as i was walking away he pushes me and i trip over. I got up and punched him in the jaw. he dropped pretty fast and was close to tears on the floor. based police took my side because he hit first.
I seriously never get this stuff though. i rarely see these fags promoting this stuff in real life.
>>30102981 how do you avoid having sex with the same women your friends have already banged? not that I'm saying you shouldnt be eating your friends cum out of their cunts if that's what you QUILTBAGs like.
>>30103004 this has happenned to me a few times. you just tell the cop you dont know whats going on, you were just walking to the exit. you have no idea how much of a cops time is taken up by paranoid fuckwits trying to sick the police on their estranged friends and ex-lovers or looking for a way to draw attention to themselves with OMG I WAS ALMOST RAPED stories.
pretty grill here. I can understand how some of you can see this as silly but since I have to take public transport all the time in urban areas I can tell u how much I wish there were signs like this where I live. I am constantly hit on by the sleaziest grossest and old guys constantly. It starts off friendly enough, I'm always willing to give anyone a chance. I always think "maybe this will be the one time they really just want polite conversation" it always ends up leading to innappropriate comments about my huge boobs and how hot I am. Also I am always asked "Where I'm from?" it is sexual. They ask because of they way my body is they assume I must be from brazil or puerto rico and when I tell them they're always like oh thats why you have big tits and ass! To be fair though I never get many of this happening with white guys. Some hit on me but its always light and polite and they can easily tell when I want them to leave me alone. Lots of minorities ride public transportation for obvious reasons though. *niggers* So really you should be mad at niggers and spics for ruining things for everyone else.
>>30103174 Not a big deal really. As long as you're not stealing each others current girlfriends or immediately banging them. You don't have to if you network out a bit. A friend of a friend, etc. It can help you avoid the crazy ones.
I'm not saying you shouldn't talk to strangers, just that there's methods of finding women that don't require it. Whatever you feel comfortable doing, friend.
>>30103294 My feelings arn't hurt it just makes me uncomfortable. I wouldn't want anyone to hit on me no matter how hot because I'm in a committed relationship and I'm not allowed to talk to guys in general.
>>30103267 hide your fucking tits, you sleaze. jesus, dont you realise they're trying to pick you up because you look like an easy slut? maybe dress up a little.
here's what's actually going on: >I only want to spend five minutes max trying to pick up. >this works >it just takes a few tries to find someone emotionally vulnerable to work on >immediately state sexual intentions >girl either becomes uncomfortable or accepts
care to guess how they pick which girls to hit on first? you guessed it. trashy slut uniforms.
>>30103324 >When I go on a date, I always leave the man’s full name and contact information written next to my computer monitor. This is so the cops can find my body if I go missing. My best friend will call or e-mail me the next morning, and I must answer that call or e-mail before noon-ish, or she begins to worry. If she doesn’t hear from me by three or so, she’ll call the police. My activities after dark are curtailed. Unless I am in a densely-occupied, well-lit space, I won’t go out alone. Even then, I prefer to have a friend or two, or my dogs, with me. Do you follow rules like these?
>>30103412 I actually think notifying someone where you are going to be, and who you are with, is a good idea for women. In fact they are not as strong as men and some men do try to take advantage of them. It happens, sadly.
I have asked my female friends about things like feeling unsafe in various situations, and they unanimously expressed bewilderment at the very question. There must be a certain kind of woman that thinks she is always under assault.
>>30103415 >>30103464 jeans and jacket is my travelling outside attire. Unfortunately guys dont care when I tell them I am taken. I have guys follow me in their cars constantly still talking to me after I inform them of this.
>Some guys behave in an antisocial or generally demeaning manor towards women >Make blanket statements about all men being rapists or having rapist tendencies >Implying I care enough to assault women after all the masturbating I do and all the weed I smoke
4 of these things are pretty normal on a crowded train and you are bored
Staring: >Yes sugartits Im doing the 1000 yard "fuck im bored" stare, not the ""anally rape your headless corpse" one. If im giving you that one it wont be in public.
Following: >Going in the same general direction is not "following" you self centered cunt. Theres these things called "doors" a fairly old concept, which i have to use to exit as well.
Unwanted conversation > Oh noes a beta boy made conversation with me and i felt my vagina dry up. Why cant Brad Pit be here instead. Try conversation, it makes you a more rounded person.
Asking women where they are from >Yeah, because conversational icebreakers dont come better than "your semen chocked orifices would look good in my freezer"? What do you think replying to "where are you from" opens you up to you paranoid cunt?
Unwanted touching >If its a crowded train then fuck off, if its molesting then guess what, the person doing it probably knows its a social no-no and is choosing to ignore that. Report them or shame them.
Masturbating >Really, you think the monkey spanker will see this sign and go "oooh, so thats why Ive been in court 5 times this month, silly me" and stop?
This is an anti-male sign that conflates normal human interaction with wanking and physical molestation.
Its the old Sesame Street game "one of these things is not like the other"
>>30102494 this sign is insulting and sexist. That's the correct response here.
Some outrage from officials and organisations is in order, and immediate removal.
In murrican society this gets claps and approval by the out of control female population and the men remain inactive, some of them are not even pissed, some of them even nod in approval, and...well...others put a miniskirt on and secretly want to be slapped on the ass.
>>30103324 >http://kateharding.net/2009/10/08/guest-blogger-starling-schrodinger%E2%80%99s-rapist-or-a-guy%E2%80%99s-guide-to-approaching-strange-women-without-being-maced/ >The second important point: you must be aware of what signals you are sending by your appearance and the environment. We are going to be paying close attention to your appearance and behavior and matching those signs to our idea of a threat.
So she's saying that women will act differently if you're dressed differently? So if she decides to date you you were likely asking for it?
>>30103546 >>Really, you think the monkey spanker will see this sign and go "oooh, so thats why Ive been in court 5 times this month, silly me" and stop? If anything this makes me more likely to masturbate on the Metro.
>>30104960 No. I've been taking public transit for about a decade and I've noticed that people never talk to strangers except in two cases: where the person approaching the stranger and harassing them is a scraggly, mumbling person who's probably homeless and mentally ill, or where the person approaching the stranger and harassing them is a fat, unshaven individual wearing a sonic or MLP shirt and probably suffering from autism.
Not once have I ever witnessed a well-adjusted, mentally healthy individual harass a stranger on public transit.
Everyone help me out here. MASTURBATING? Are you kidding me? When the fuck has that ever happened in public? Once in a blue moon when it's an escaped mental patient, right? What, do guys just whip it out when they see a cute girl and start pounding their meat? And you're telling me this has happened so many times that they have to LIST IT IN THE NUMBER 2 SPOT OF "DON'T DO ITS"? 0_o You have to be kidding me. I grew up in a major city, o.k. AND rode commuter rail lines everywhere for decades and not once have I ever, and I mean EVER seen some guy just pull out his wang and start fapping it openly on the train. Am I missing something? Is this a "New York" kind of thing? I mean where there are a ton of "freaks" and degenerates? What's up with this? Has anyone actually SEEN a guy jerk it off on the subway? I wanna know.
>>30105016 >When the fuck has that ever happened in public? I cannot control my erections sorry. then I HAVE to put my hands on my crotch to hide it. so one thing leads to another and well I'm riding the bus all the way to the sub-station then taking a cab.
>>30105155 Harassing people who really don't want to talk to you and thinking it qualifies as socializing is autistic.
Most people on transit have shit to do. I know you're an unemployed NEET, but most of us have jobs and families. We have work to go to and we have errands to run, and nobody likes public transit so we just want to get it over with quickly. The last thing any of us want is some mouthbreather coming up to us to tell us about his sonichu or whatever the fuck it is you say.
>>30102590 I'm pretty sure it has to do with the amount of niggers. >Boston >very few black people >no signs telling people not to do obvious shit like this on the train >Chicago >50% black >signs reminding people not to play on the tracks >automated voice recordings keep reminding people not to litter or gamble or smoke on the trains
for my birthday that I spent all alone I wentto the comic store and bought a bunch of simpsons and marvel figures and statues. out city just started a bag ban and fucking everyone I was near started talking to me about them. all of the conversations were very enjoyable and I'm usually a total fuckign asshole.
>>30105257 People don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy in a public space, such as a bus.
A conversation, even if one sided, is not harassment. Being "bothered" by someone talking to you on public transport does not warrant reason for arrest, even if they qualify as annoying or, if you must, strange.
Utter delusion, people used to be a little more cordial in public before any idea of community was ripped out of the first world.
Just because urbanites are fucked in the head doesn't mean people who like a chat should be institutionalized.
>>30103324 >To begin with, we would rather not be killed or otherwise violently assaulted.
>“But wait! I don’t want that, either!”
>Well, no. But do you think about it all the time? Is preventing violent assault or murder part of your daily routine, rather than merely something you do when you venture into war zones? Because, for women, it is.
>>30105433 >People don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy in a public space, such as a bus. Actually they do, as we live in a civil society (well, I do, since I'm Canadian - maybe the Americans behave differently, they are half nigger after all), and there are understood codes of good conduct, such as not shoving people, forming orderly lines at bus stops, not talking to strangers on transit, crossing streets when traffic is stopped instead of just wandering around moving cars, etc.
>A conversation, even if one sided, is not harassment. Actually it is, if you keep talking at someone who doesn't want to talk to you then you are exhibiting fucked up mentally ill behavior and they have reason to be worried: you might well be a crack addict who's going to shank them, since a normal mentally healthy person does not walk up to strangers on public transit and start talking to them.
>Utter delusion, people used to be a little more cordial in public before any idea of community was ripped out of the first world. Don't talk about time periods you weren't around for, it reveals your retardation. See pic. Public transit has never been a space for socializing.
>>30104790 Eh, no. Thinking there's some distinction between a stranger and people you've classified as being of "significant interest" for whatever reason, and being unable to form human connections to people unless you put them on this level of signitificant importance IS borderline autistic.
one time a really beautiful women just stared at me for like a full minute then walked off. it really hurt my feelings. my only guess is that she came over to talk to me and sat down across the isle. I just thought she was moving seats for some other reason and since I wear glasses my peripheral vision is shit plus I had on headphones. so I finally notice her feet are kinda pointed towards me like she stood up so I did this real slowmo cinematic stare up her her legs and body until I get to her face and she just staring right at me with this blank sort of angry look. I'm extremely stoned so it was especially bizarre so I just stared right back smiling wondering what in the fuck was going on. I finally said hi real happily and when still she said nothing I looked down to pause my music and when I looked back up she had walked away toward the back. I was devastated and fought back tears the rest of the way. I've had random women in public do all kinds of horribly mean shit to me when they think I'm ignoring them.
"civil" is subjective and you may want such privacy, but that is not the reality, and not having it doesnt hurt you unless you have much growing up to do you shoul stay home if you are so paranoid
> (well, I do, since I'm Canadian - maybe the Americans behave differently, they are half nigger after all),
> and there are understood codes of good conduct,
subjective, or perhaps you can direct me to where such is properly codified, your highness
> such as not shoving people,
> forming orderly lines at bus stops,
what does this have to do with conforming to your anti-social worldview?
>not talking to strangers on transit,
opinion, subjective, requires mind reading
>crossing streets when traffic is stopped instead of just wandering around moving cars, etc.
seperate matter, matter of common sense/self preservation
>A conversation, even if one sided, is not harassment. Actually it is, if you keep talking at someone who doesn't want to talk to you then you are exhibiting fucked up mentally ill behavior and they have reason to be worried:
one sided, yes; 2 way, no
>Don't talk about time periods you weren't around for, it reveals your retardation.
we have this thing called "written and recorded history" that tells us what went on in earlier times. nice appeal to accomplishment though
> See pic. Public transit has never been a space for socializing.
not exclusively, and not even where it was expected, but it has not always/everywhere been a place where it was considered "psychotic"
besides not we're just talking public transit here, but out-in-public in general
>>30105523 >such as not shoving people, Irrelevant. >forming orderly lines at bus stops, Irrelevant. >not talking to strangers on transit, Baseless assocation with other examples, only for the purpose of reinforcing your point, of which none of them do / relate. >crossing streets when traffic is stopped instead of just wandering around moving cars, etc. Irrelevant.
>if you keep talking at someone who doesn't want to talk to you then you are exhibiting fucked up mentally ill behavior Again, attempting to lean towards the extreme example of someone incessantly bothering someone, which is called moving the goal posts if you're out of the loop.
We began here with the notion attempting to strike up a conversation, in public, is somehow harassment. Usually, this ends with quiet defeat if the first few attempts fail, dependent on the intention.
Yes, aggressively forcing a conversation is strange, albeit intimidating, but it is far from the normal approach we're discussing here. You're the only one assuming this is how people try to interact in public. You're completely fucked in the head if you believe everyone runs about screaming in each other's faces whether or not it's appreciated.
>Don't talk about time periods you weren't around for, it reveals your retardation. See pic. Public transit has never been a space for socializing. I highly doubt you spent much time in the past, considering your picturesque view of the New York subway, it's obvious your perspective on what and who uses public transport are out of touch with reality.
Was it not the black community who used the buses as a staple of their protest movements? Did they choose the bus only because of its usage? Or was it because it was a valuable component of the COMMUNITY.
Well, the feminists have done it. They've created private space in a public place. Soon this idea will take on just like "tipping culture" or "plane etiquette". We're a few steps away from living like this, /pol/. Enjoy.
>>30103324 http://kateharding.net/2009/10/08/guest-blogger-starling-schrodinger%E2%80%99s-rapist-or-a-guy%E2%80%99s-guide-to-approaching-strange-women-without-being-maced/ >This means that some men should never approach strange women in public. Specifically, if you have truly unusual standards of personal cleanliness, if you are the prophet of your own religion, or if you have tattoos of gang symbols or Technicolor cockroaches all over your face and neck, you are just never going to get a good response approaching a woman cold. That doesn’t mean you’re doomed to a life of solitude, but I suggest you start with internet dating, where you can put your unusual traits out there and find a woman who will appreciate them.
Fucking nice. This is legitimately just a, "Dude, you're ugly. Don't talk to women" comment. >If the public place is a closed area (a subway car, an elevator, a bus), even a crowded one, you may not realize that the woman’s ability to flee in case of threat is limited. Ask yourself, “If I were dangerous, would this woman be safe in this space with me?” If the answer is no, then it isn’t appropriate to approach her.
If she's in a crowded situation, ability to flee is mitigated by public interaction. People don't usually take violence against women well. >On the other hand, if you are both at church accompanied by your mothers, who are lifelong best friends, the woman is as close as it comes to safe. That is to say, still not 100% safe. But the odds are pretty good.
Hahaha. >Fortunately, I can tell you with some certainty, because she’s already sending messages to you. Looking out the window, reading a book, working on a computer, arms folded across chest, body away from you = do not disturb. So, y’know, don’t disturb her.
How confusing is this going to be when attention is placed on an individual already defined as the type that should not approach? Considering such outlandish appearances often intrigue many.
And I like conversations with people who have good, interesting things to say.
I know that the autistics here who whine about people not wanting to talk on transit don't have anything good or interesting to say, though, or they would have brought them up as examples of why talking on transit might be good. Instead all they can argue is talking... for the sake if it? Which suggests they're mudskins who just want someone to engage in vapid small talk with.
So I would not want to talk to them. Especially not when I'm half-asleep in the morning or exhausted after a long day at work.
>>30103004 I had a girl call the police on me because we lived in the same apartment block and we worked at the same place. I 'followed her home every day' until she called the police on me for stalking her.
one time a guy fell asleep with his head on my shoulder. when he woke up his was pretty freaked out but it turned into a pretty nice conversation. on the bus genuine conversations are very rare in my experience but they happen.
In order to respect our male passengers, please refrain from the following: >being a little bitch >being a huge bitch >being a medium-sized bitch >male masturbation >female masturbation with a BMI higher than 24 or lower than 16 >flawed sociological research >using crack, except in the designated junkie carriage >talking about politics, religion, or philosophy, except to criticise the entire discipline in a broad sense
>>30102494 I talk to old grannies on the bus all the time. They enjoy telling me about all the diseases they have. kek I'm certainly not trying to rape them either. But guys who are always bothering women with stupid sexual comments (i.e. niggers) need to be fucking gassed.
>don't be that guy >don't stare at anyone >don't bother people "hey i like your shirt" >was she saying that to me? >well i've already past her by >i've got my headphones in so i'll pretend i didn't hear it. >it was probably someone else. "well fuck you then." >don't stare at anyone >don't bother people >mind your own business >people don't want you talking to them >you don't want to be a creeper.
I've seen just one pervert masturbating in public transport in my life, he was masturbating over old man and he was touching his laps, old man was just sitting, staring at the window and not moving, it was sick but nobody did anything, everybody was just pretending that everything is ok, including me
One time a girl on a train was drawing me without my permission. I considered talking to her about it but didn't. I don't know if social anxiety is still the right word for me, it's like I don't have the anxiety anymore because I'm too far from the point where I'd actually consider talking to a stranger to be an option for me.
>>30106591 By "from" they're obviously referring to the most common icebreaker of all time. They're saying don't hit on women. Several other people have said the same thing in this thread, are you all pretending not to know what they're trying to say?
>>30106591 Might be a race thing. As in you see a girl who is black and you're in the UK you might ask where she's from and she'll say she was born in London and she's hurt that people might think that she was born in Nigeria or some other shithole.
>>30102494 Oh this is such bullshit how the fuck can you even have a conversation with someone these days! Feminist expect all men to talk to them on online dating sites so they can weed out the betas. This is the last straw. The public masturbating is not okay fine, but not starting conversations with them? I want to know who is really behind this stuff.
The reason conversations with strangers is uncomfortable for those women is because it so rarely happens. If instead everyone just struck up conversations with everyone there would be little to no discomfort and anxiety.
>>30106659 Oh, I get what they mean. All I'm saying, is the quotes around "from" are retarded. Either eliminate the quotation marks entirely or put them around the whole phrase, like: Asking women, "Where are you from?"
>>30106661 This actually makes sense. I'm "from" Illinois, but you're probably asking what country my ancestors came from and why I look an extra in Lawrence of Arabia. Hence the scare quotes; you aren't really asking what city I was born in.
The problem with this interpretation is it applies equally to men and women, and the sign specifically mentions women. >>30106659 is right, it's about icebreaker lines. The writers just don't know how to use quotation marks.
>>30106827 the other day some guy was reading a book while walking through the cross walk and sure enough he swayed right into my path. I really had to resist the urge to say something. not only reading while walking but while in a cross walk. that was a first.
Women denigrate our entire sex because there is a small, small amount of guys like this. Do they have any idea how many men do the opposite? That totally shut themselves down and repress their needs because they're afraid of making women uncomfortable? I'm not sure that I have ever struck up a conversation with a woman in a public place.
>>30104985 This. Every time I am in the city I feel alone even though I am surrounded by thousands of people. Back in the 90's everyone use to talk to each other and people were friendly, but post 9/11 everyone is afraid of each other.
