I think they only listen to him because they want someone who lines up with their political views, i.e civic nationalist t_d'ers, who sounds intellectual and smart.
Just like Joe Rogan and Molymeme in many cases, he really has no idea what the fuck he's talking about but gets away with it because he uses words that are associated with psychology and philosophy and noone knows what these words mean so they just take what he says to heart
