Next renewal would be signed 2021, if China elects to do so. Considering how much they'd like to avoid war in Korea, it's likely that they'll renew it.

Welp, I was talking in the context of war having already broken out. China wouldn't be able to stay neutral. They'd be in an "us or them" situation, and I kinda doubt that they'd side with NK (especially given that the catalyst for WW3 would likely involve NK being destroyed in one fashion or another).
US leaders would be far past calling bluffs. It'd be all demands and nukes and cyber-armageddon.
