Yeah, that liability shit is lame. I work at a Target as a cart attendant at the moment since I'm a failure, and one time some dude tried to steal a TV. I was walking through the entrance after a sweep and trying to think of whether the carts would last me until my lunch or if I should go get more first. A lot vets offices are run by cheap kikes and many vets are complete shit (trust me, we fix a lot of misdiagnosed patients for general practices...like a disturbing amount. I'll give you that. But if we helped out everyone who didn't have money, we'd go out of business. Especially as an ER. We barely make back the cost of the supplies we use. Medical supplies are expensive. Blame the cronyism and regulations within the health care industry.

But do what your regular vet tells you. Keep your pets on monthly flea and heartworm prevention, don't leave them outside, put them of a good vet recommended diet, get regular check ups, and for the love of god spay and neuter them and you'll most likely will never have to go to an emergency and pay 700+ dollars.

And put money away, get pet insurance or care credit, if you can't afford that, you shouldn't own things that you can't afford to take care of. It's frustrating working in profession because you literally have to watch things suffer due to other people's incompetence all day everyday and euthanize hundreds of pets a year for easily avoidable shit.
