Category 5 is intentionally open-ended. It's anything at or above 157 mph wind. The purpose of the scale is just to measure how much damage it will do to structures when it hits. Once it gets to Cat5 it doesn't matter anymore, everyone has to evacuate, and everything is going to be annihilated.

Cat 6 is 10x faster than cat 5, it depends on what you are using it for though. It's pretty much just for networks not residential use, unless you are doing heavy duty stuff
