The way these corporations choose to produce meat is the most effective way to feed all the people that require it, small local farms cannot possibly seek to fill the market that the rest of the country relies on. It was the same case for cars, small numbers of producers made high quality products, but once the model t began its run as the everyman car, there was no going back to only small artisan car makers trying sustain a population that needs a reliable source of automobiles. The genie is out of the bottle, the same will happen with AI and other human inventions, for better or worse.
