I dont really know who OP is but the blast from the asteroid is enough to wipe out a large city.
I dont think a single person is worth hitting with it
Also for the force shield, Laser guidence is the closest realistic we get and it works even better because there is no real impact

the one that fell on Novosibirsk was 20m in diameter and the crater was pretty big
if this one doesnt fall apart on smaller chunks which is unlikely it will survive to create an impact
