I know someone who was an audience member on Q&A a few years ago. From what I remember they get people to write and submit 3 questions they would like to ask the panel at least a day before the broadcast. If it's a question they like, they'll select the person to ask it on the night; so I guess you could say the program is 'scripted' in a sense.

The guy I knew did have his question right at the end of the show he was on, which was basically a dig at Alan Jones (he was on the panel as the token 'conservative') basically asking if he was genuinely a cunt or if it was just an act he did for his radio show. I don't know any of the people in that lineup, so if you can't think of anything pertaining to politics or current events, just get one of the panelists in your crosshairs and take a shot at them. Who knows. it might get selected as a novelty.
