Tampa fag - spent the weekend making sure the outside of the house is ready. This week finishing errands and getting some window covers made. My house has a back up generator that runs on natural gas but if we take a direct hit the gas may go out too. I have another generator, but it can't push my 4 ton AC unit and the cell service sucks on the cape so no cell data. And, when all the lines go down no WiFi or cable. This is gonna suuuuccckkk!

Yes, it is a Cape Verde storm which means it originated in the far east Atlantic, so it has had lots of time to build strength. If it stays on noaa's projected path it will pass into the gulf without the eye making landfall, and then all hell will break loose. It will be cat 5 if it makes it to the gulf unobstructed, simply because there is no category 6.
