They just kinda slapped jesus on every part of culture, at least in Poland.
I mean, every important holiday here is originally pagan and I started to notice that in both behaviour and sayings.
(Silesians still invoke the name of Perun a lot.)

As far as temples goes, slavic pagan temples, our were forests and mountains, our altars were big stones or piles of stones. If there was not much nature around, we just placed statues of Gods.

So if you look at it, the christian temples are surrounded by pagan holy grounds, which are forests and mountains.
So all we need to do in Poland is just reawaken the Pagan identity and start living in harmony with nature.
